We meet in front of the historical building of Shi-Lian-Dong(十連棟). Chef Alex will share your local stories throughout the alleys of Dadaocheng. And then in the traditional market, you’ll also have the opportunity to taste authentic traditional delicacies and know local ingredients.

Sometimes, you might want to chat with the owners of the vendors. Why not? We call it the Taiwanese experience.

After the walking tour, we go to our cooking studio for the Taiwanese gourmet cooking class.

    And the popular Hot and Sour soup.

  • Friday | Taiwanese Risotto Youfan & Gongwantan Meat Balls soup | 台灣傳統油飯&貢丸湯 - Youfan used to be a gift to friends to celebrate a newborn baby’s 1st birthday. Now combined with Gongwangtan, is a popular breakfast for locals.

  • Saturday | Jiujia Men’s Club dish, Squid soup & Fried Rice Noodles | 酒家菜魷魚螺肉蒜炒米粉 - Jiujia(酒家), used to be a men’s club. The creative dish was made to push alcohol sales by a smart chef. We learn rice noodles in the Taiwanese way, too

  • Sunday | Luroufan & Garlic Pork Thick Soup | 台灣滷肉飯&蒜味肉羹湯 - Undoubtedly Luroufan, the braised pork rice is one of Taiwan’s most iconic foods. Perfect enjoy with the garlic-flavored meat thick soup.

10 minutes before the class, we meet at the Central Entrance of the Shi Lian Dong (十連棟, which means 10 connecting buildings), 台北市大同區迪化街一段356號, a historical architectural complex, Alex will lead you into the community where Taipei Cooking Kitchen is located.

Famous Taiwanese cuisine---Braised Pork Rice and Pork Soup Cooking Experience Class - The first complete cooking experience in my life was a cooking class dedicated to teacher Alex! Thank you to the teacher for providing a comfortable cooking space and a relaxing and pleasant cooking environment. He carefully helped me make braised pork rice and meat soup from scratch step by step. It also gave me a better understanding of Dadaocheng. Everyone is welcome to come to Taipei and come and experience it together! !
