Best - Market information, tastings, and even the history of Taiwan. It was the best memory of my trip to Taiwan. It was great with beer. Three hours goes by fast.

Make your own Lu Rou Fan from scratch! - Amazing cooking class. Chef is a former service professional and was very friendly and accommodating. We were brought to appreciate the historical and cultural history of the area and interact with the local wet market vendors (: What was most memorable was that unlike those classes where ingredients are pre-chooped and provided, in this one you really get to appreciate the preparation steps and understand why each ingredient is made the way it is. As a bonus - went away with improved knife skills!

Fun experience with true local flavors - We absolutely loved our experience with Alex on our cooking class and walking tour! This is a small group cooking class with maximum of 6 people and we lucked out that we were the only two that signed up on our chosen date and ended up with a private class. We loved learning about the history of the area and walking through a bustling traditional market (with some tastings) before the class. The class itself was relaxing (despite truly being put to work), fun and our end products (braised minced pork rice and a soup) turned out delicious with the right local flavors. Alex was knowledgeable and personable and we enjoyed every minute. Definitely a highlight of our trip and highly recommended for those who love to cook and eat and want to learn from a local!

Time well spent! - Alex was great! He gave us a short tour around the area and brought us to the local market where we got to try some nick-nacks. The cooking class after was awesome as well. We made beef noodle soup.

Fun experience - Really enjoyed the class. Alex accommodated our last min reservation. Our 6 year old came along with us and enjoyed all the sights we saw and Alex was very kind to include him during the class. Despite coming to Taiwan previously many times, Alex provided a new perspective for us and we loved the way the experience was structured. He was patient, kind and very open. We enjoyed ourselves.
