Such a great and memorable family experience in Taiwan! - This is our second class with Cookinn. We took the Taiwanese Street Food class before, and we had so much fun that we signed up for the Taiwanese Gourmet Meal on our most recent trip to Taiwan. Again, it was such a fun experience for our family to do together. Our teacher, Diana, was completely fluent in both Mandarin and English, and she not only shared cooking instructions but also the cultural history of Taiwan and the food that we were preparing also. Very clean and modern facilities, and the little attention to detail (like the peronalized photo recipes at the end) were wonderful. Our kids ranged from 8 to 15 years old, and they all loved it! And the best part is we were all able to share our "made from scratch" meal together at the end.

Great tips even for the home chef! - I cook regularly at home and I found this course to be very good for both the home chef and casual cooks. The teacher Diana was very clear and spoke both Chinese and English. The kitchen was clean and spacious and all the ingredients were described before we started. Even for the dishes that I thought I knew how to make I learned many tips that made the flavors uniquely Taiwanese!

Streamlined processes making learning so easy - I visited Taipei for two weeks and prior to visiting, I signed up for two classes here. One was run in the morning with a market tour and the other in the afternoon. The market tour was fun. If you have not been to an Asian traditional market, I think it would be a good experience. Here you see the full animals (if you don't like to see animal heads and organs than this may not be your thing -- talk to the instructors beforehand, I am sure they will accommodate you). The whole area is very spacious. There is a place for the students to relax before the class starts. This is also the place to enjoy your labor after you cook. Here you can also socialize with other students or if you have kids with you, they can kill their time here while you are learning to cook. The class was designed immaculately! They really worked out all the kinks and thought of everything before the class was run. Here you find a systematic way of learning and you don't feel like you are just ordered to do various things. The process is very streamlined and smooth. Every step just naturally transitions into the next step. Here you learn cooking is actually a very relaxing process -- as long as you know the steps -- and what they show you exactly are the steps and the little clues to watch when you cook in order to make sure the flavor builds and the food tastes good. The staff was wonderful -- every single one of them. The instructors were very knowledgeable about the food, the tour guide knew which alley to turn to show you where the hidden food gems are and the assistants are the unsung hero -- while we were cooking, they were there chopping away and washing things away so that the next food ingredient can be delivered to us for cooking. When the class ends, I was handed an individualized recipe book -- how cool was that! All the pictures taken in the class were also emailed to us after the class. If you are into Taiwanese food, this truly is a place where you can have fun, learn good cooking skills and develop the food that you crave.

Excellent Culinary Experience and Great Team from CookInn in Taipei - On the day of the lesson, we visited Chang Chun Market before the cooking class. The instructor, Diana was very friendly and patient with us, and introduced local delicacies to the participants. The staffs were very friendly as well and help with the dirty dishes during the lesson. The food turned out very well and delicious. Thank you for the great experience. I will definitely come back for more classes in my next Taipei trip.

Excellent experience for individuals, family and couples - Sometimes, finding activity that could entertain family members of all age could be tough, especially while travelling. CookInn's class is well-planned and well-thought of, my mum and I had fun and enjoyed the discovery of local wet market, a hands-on experience of making something we thought could be difficult -- Beef noodle, Soup Dumplings, appetiser and bubble tea -- The ingredients and instructions provided simply enable novice chef to prepare a meal like experienced master. They made sure you got all sorts of memory recorded nicely and you'll have the cookbook, and photos (by Google Drive) of the day immediately. It worths each penny. Frankly.

Great Experience! Good food, friendly teacher, clean kitchen - Chelsea led our class in which I learned how to make mullet roe fried rice, 3-cup chicken, squid salad with 5-flavor sauce, and soft tofu pudding. It was all delicious. I have some Asian cooking experience, but I still picked up some nuanced tips for improving my fried rice game and 3-cup sauce. Using mullet roe was a new experience, and I loved it. The ingredients were very fresh and high quality. The kitchen is modern and spotless. Chelsea and her assistants speak excellent English and are super friendly. There was no communication barrier at all. When I next return to Taiwan, I will visit CookInn again and take their xiaolongbao class.
