Incredible Culinary Experience in the heart of Taipei 🇹🇼 - An absolute MUST try when visiting Taipei! Taiwan is known around the world for its incredible food and getting to know the history of the food, the local favorites and many interesting facts about the culinary experience is a great way to begin your adventure in Taipei! Our guide Tina was so knowledgable, friendly and eager to share her knowledge and fun facts with everyone in the group. There is sooooo much food you will be eating so come hungry! The variety of food she had shown us and that we tasted was delicious! Everything is so well organized. As you walk through the Dadaocheng district Tina shares all she knows about the architecture, food and more so you not only get a food tour but a well rounded Food + Taipei/Taiwan history tour! I highly recommend Taipei Eats, there is no better company out there!

Best food tour ever! Flexible to the groups' interests. - As my group has all lived in Asia and mainland China for a long time, we thought the Old School tour would give us more Taiwan specific treats. The booking ended up only being our group of friends and we were so impressed by Tina's knowledge of local cuisine, excitement to share the history of each dish, and flexibility and overall willingness to curate a wonderful experience for us. The beauty of Taiwan's food is that it embraces and fuses together elements from its multicultural history and population to create some of the most interesting and best foods for all different palate preferences. We easily tried 15+ dishes throughout the tour and were so happy she modified the tour as we went to introduce us to new foods. By the end of the tour, I felt able to use the local language and slang and to describe these foods. I would gladly book another tour through Taipei Eats on my next trip to Taiwan. Best value for money of any food tour I've done across 3 continents.

Truely a great Taiwanese food experience - The food was amazing and the back round combined with the knowledge that Tina brought to the table was amazing, im positive that without Tina in dept knowledge of food and vendor type and location i would not have been able to experience the true traditional taiwanese food.

Unique and delicious food with a fun group! - We're really glad we took this really unique tour and intro to DaDaoCheng - while the area is distinct and "known," the intro to various 40, 60, and 80-yr vendors of traditional foods was invaluable. Our wonderful guide Jean also gave us a good amount of history and background on the area, how it developed, and how it has changed. A great time!

Perfect tour - I did the old school food tour with Jean and had a great time. The food was all amazing and we went to areas that I wouldn't have been able to find on my own. I was definitely full by the end but Jean did a great job at letting us know how many stops we had left so we could pace ourselves. The fish balls were without a doubt the best ones I've ever had. I learned a lot about Taiwan and the culture and had a really wonderful time. Thank you Jean!

Tasting delicious things at places I would never have walked into otherwise - An excellent morning tour of the traditional food and sights on offer in Dadaocheng / Dihua Street area with Jean and the 6 people on the tour with me (2 couples, 2 other solo travelers). In fact we had such a lovely morning as a group that Jean kept going an extra hour! I ate at places and dishes that I would never have ventured into walking around alone, so highly recommend this tour for showing me the delicious tastes and experiences out there as an intrepid and non-chinese speaking westerner. While I didn't love every dish, the majority blew me away and it was an overall encompassing taste of Taipei, as well as temples and history thrown in. We ended up eating 10 - 12 dishes, by the end we were sharing a couple plates as everyone was so full. My only criticism is that we did waste a bit of food, and perhaps knowing that it is a whole morning food tour with plenty of dishes, they ask some of the vendors to provide smaller portions instead of saying don't feel bad if you don't finish it. One point I was impressed at is how little cutlery/packaging waste we generated - most of the places we sat and were served with crockery and silver cutlery. It was also nice to have those little seating breaks on a walking tour. On that note, it was a bit of a drizzly morning, but that didn't impact us at all - so don't be put off by any inclement weather. Thank you for a wonderful, educational, tasty and fun morning Jean, and my fellow food tour buddies. Highly recommend this tour and would love to try one of their other offerings when next in Taipei!

My Third Tour with Taipei Eats - As was the case with my two previous tours, the Traditional Food Tour was excellent. Our guide was CC and she was wonderful--very friendly and knowledgeable. Most of the food choices were not average, run of the mill and, if not for the tour, I don't think I would ever have tried most of the dishes offered. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys discovering new foods.

Amazing food tour - Terrific tour. Small group setting. Amazing friendly, knowledgeable guide. Tried around 12 different items- both street food and items from interesting shops. Allowed access to a part of Taiwanese culture that would have otherwise been impossible for a non Mandarin speaking Westerner.
