This trip provides an opportunity to bask in the expansive splendor and tranquility of Utah, yet in proximity to Downtown Salt Lake City. It allows you to witness wildlife in their natural environment.

Highlights
- Antelope Island - Combine your trip to the Great Salt Lake with what I consider the only way to visit it by experiencing Antelope Island. This little known island is teaming with wildlife, and you can’t get the quiet of wilderness by simply visiting it near I-80. We will spot for the wild herd of 600 American Bison roaming the island. Amongst the Bison we’ll watch for coyote, bobcat, antelope, porcupine, big-horn sheep, mule deer and if the season is right up to 200,000 migratory birds. You can truly experience Nature in its finest form on this beautiful island. After wildlife spotting, we’ll hike to Buffalo Point on the Island to watch the sunset and take in the breathtaking views.
*Bug Season (April-June)
We have bug spray for the mosquitos, and hats/bug nets for the biting gnats. Midges do not bite.
The Hike is .9 miles round trip. It has a couple steep parts on dirt, but it’s very well traveled. I would designate this as a moderate hiking difficulty, which is less than a mile.
The Tour Vehicle is a 10 Passenger Ford Transit Passenger Van with a High Roof and really great large windows in the back for viewing.

Book it! Amazing experience!!! - Book to see One of the most beautiful places on Earth!
Cam was a wonderful tour guide. I went solo and ended up making some great friends!
I was picked up at the Grand America Hotel.
Valet was $15. I arrived a little early and (walked the hotel a few minutes as it is a stunning property!)
Cam was really communicative leading up to the tour, informative, great personality & engaging , also provided great suggestions for other places to visit. He had water and a snack for us as well as bug spray which we were so thankful for!
Bring your own repellent just in case!!
Cam was great about stopping and letting us take pics along the tour.
We weren't sure how close we would get to see the Bison but boyy dd we get a treat! They were blocking the road and practically all around us. Beautiful sight!
Our hike was pleasant not too difficult.
Our view of the sunset was mesmerizing!
I would do this tour again and recommend to all! Thanks Cam!!! Ohhh he has a great playlist!!

Wonderful experience! - This was an amazing experience. We loved the tour of the park led by a friendly, personable and knowledgeable guide. The short climb to view the gorgeous sunset was the perfect ending to the trip!

Nice tour and short hike with beautiful western scenary - Nice guided tour in a comfy van with only 9 folks. We were lucky to see not only the bison herds (some at the roadside and others in the distance) but also antelope and mule deer. The hike to watch the sunset was not suited for anyone with trouble walking, poor balance, or unsuitable shoes but great for anyone in good health. The sunset was spectacular over the lake, framed by the boulders of the peak of the island. If you have your own binoculars, bring them because they only have 2. Our guide Craydon(?) was personable and well informed about the lake and wildlife and was safety conscious on the hike.

Who doesn’t love wildlife and sunsets. - Great time. Garth the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We had plenty of time to take pictures and enjoy the scenery.

Great tour of Antelope Island with a sunset ending - I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Plenty of bison to see and our guide Phil made sure we got to take as many photos of them as we wanted. It was a beautiful evening capped off with an amazing sunset. Phil was an excellent guide who loves what he does and it showed on this tour.

We will definitely do this again! - Cramon was amazing! He did a great job with our time management and making sure we all got what we wanted! He was so knowledgeable and helpful! The island was incredible and the views were breathtaking! Definitely want to come back and do this again!!

Rick was a wonderful... - Rick was a wonderful guide! We were fortunate enough to see what appeared to be the entire herd in the flatlands and it was incredible. The hike to the sunset viewing point was not difficult and it was a gorgeous spot to watch the beautiful sunset.

September 11, 2024 tour - Our tour guide Phil was wonderful!! He told us lots of interesting facts about the island and the animals that live on it. He knew exactly where to go to find the different animals. The sky was very smokey from wildfires in the area, so we LITERALLY couldn't see a sunset, but it didn't matter because of the amazing experience we had!!

Antelope Island a must to see! - Our tour guide Leah was AMAZING! Got to see wild Bisons the males in their area as well the Moms and their babies in their areas. The view of Salt Lake was so beautiful and we ended the tour with a hike just in time for a magical sunset! Would highly recommend!
