Great hike with Sabir. Definitely coming back! - This is my first time hiking in Morocco. I live in a rather flat country, so I don't have much experience with mountains. This was a great hike for a semi-beginner. I will definitely come back, and next time I would love to do a trip for several days. The chauffeur that drove me to Imlil was very nice. He didn't speak much English though. We communicated in Arabic. The taxi came on time. It would have helped to have a sign on the front window of the car, as the meeting spot was used by many agencies, so it was a bit confusing seeing many cars and people waiting. But the chauffeur and I managed to find each other alright. My guide Sabir was extremely pleasant. We had long talks through the hike about the area and the village. We talked in English at first, then in Arabic. I was thoroughly impressed by his English. The hike was beautiful and challenging enough for me. With encouragement from Sabir, I am convinced that I should come back and try climbing to the top of the Toupkal mountain. Lunch was simple but filling. When we came back to Imlil, we walked through a small cherry orchard and I ended up buying some, which tasted delicious. I would greatly recommend for beginners. I will try to come back to add photos, as soon as I get them off my camera.

Breathtaking beauty - my reason for coming to Morocco! - I came to Morocco for the Atlas Mountains! Decided against Mount Toubkal due to the mid season booking, and not keen on ice picks/crampons. Was looking for a longer hike than most tours offered and this was perfect. I was lucky enough to have a personalised experience. Mohamed was considerate throughout, letting me enjoy at my own pace; checking in on me to make sure I was okay with the altitude; and providing insights into the life of the locals. As a seasoned hiker, I did not find the route challenging. The views were spectacular and the simple picnic was just perfect for the whole experience. Can lot recommend this tour enough and Mohamed was the best guide you could ask for. Thank you so much for making my birthday so special, Mohamed. Will be coming back to tackle Mount Toubkal and the Sahara!

Great activity to do outside of Marrakech - Did this hike with my wife and really enjoyed it. Ascent wasn't difficult at all, but descent was a bit tricky; our guide took us down a rocky path that was a bit slippery. It was fine but we should have said something sooner and taken a more straightforward path. Other than that, the views from the top were great, food was provided, and pickup/drop off was easy (make sure to check where you are staying, not all riads are accessible by car). Everyone was friendly and our guide taught us a lot as we walked through the village. Thanks and would recommend.

Hospitality at its best and clockwork efficiency and service level - I had a fantastic time in Imlil as well as a full day climb to 2,800 meters with a glorious view of the Atlas Mountains and Mt Toubkal. Mohammed Toudaoui and his team are highly recommended for thier efficiency and organizational abilities as well as deep knowledge of the Imlil area and surroundings. I could not have got a better host and tour company. He organized everything for me from train transfers, taxi to Imlil, accomodation, my fantastic guide Hassan. Trekking in Morocco…. Thankyou, I’ll be back for the summit!

Enjoyable hike with an affable guide - Enjoyable experience which didn't feel crass or clichéd. Hassan the guide was affable and happy to discuss Berber culture, life in Morocco and nature. He clearly enjoys his job. I am quite fit, but the astent of 1000m was challenging for me. Luckily he was happy to stop anytime I asked him. Just one thing of note, I think the taxi driver who took me from Marrakesh to the hike expected a tip. I did not provide one.

Wonderful hiking in a local area in the mountains! - Started the day with a pick up right on time. Mohammed greeted us with a lovely smile, and drove us to a women’s cooperative selling Argan oil and other products. We were the only people on the tour, so it was basically an exclusive tour for the two of us. We got bread with dips for free and they showed us how they make the oil. It was an expensive shop, but we hope that the money goes towards the local women. Once we were in Imlil, we were met by Hassan who was our guide for the day. He took us to his family house and gave us mint tea, then we trekked for 5 hours up Mount Touja. He was helpful and kind, especially when we coming down the mountain. He brought lunch with him and we ate at the top of the mountain, sufficient food for everyone. We had a wonderful day! The guide did touch both me and my friend quite a lot to help us up the mountain or stop us from slipping, which sometimes seemed a little excessive. It could have been innocent, but I am not sure he would have done the same if we were male. Just be aware if you are not used to physical touch from strangers.

Just book it! - This was the best day of our time in Marrakech. The day started with a pickup from Mohammed who told us all about the areas we were driving to on our way down to Imlil. The hike was just us and our guide Hassan, who asked how far we would like to go and chose a route accordingly. Lunch and snacks were delicious and carried by Hassan. The views were stunning on the whole route as we walked through the Berber villages and up into the mountains, then round to decent via Tamatert. I would recommend wearing good hiking boots as it can be wet and loose underfoot, and bringing a good amount of water. It’s an incredible place to spend the day made even more special by Hassan and Mohammed.

Hiking, nature and no tourist traps! - Don't let the other tourist traps deceive you if you're looking to hike! If you want to hike for 3-5 hours (with flexibility on how long and high you want to go), experience the views, lunch at the top of a beautiful peak with an experienced guide like Hassan, this is the place to be. You walk through the village of the guide where he tells you about Berber life. However, in contrast to most trips with many reviews here on tripadvisor and viator, on this trip there are no argan oil scams or tourist traps where you have to go through stops where they want to sell you stuff. Just you and the guide enjoying nature. If that's what you want, then this is the place to be!
