To the south of the cemetery is a temple constructed by Hatshepsut and Thutmose III, dedicated to the local goddess Pakhet It is known as the Cave of Artemis, because the Greeks identified Pakhet with Artemis, and the temple is subterranean.

Then visit Deir al Adhra This Christian church stands on the east bank of the Nile some forty kilometers north of the Minya Bridge in Middle Egypt, one of the locations that the Holy Family visited in their wanderings in Egypt. It is said that, while passing by this place in a small boat headed up river.
