Highlights
- Heinsteinwerk - This is where our tour starts with an introduction. You will learn more about the itinerary, the bikes. safety instructions and the vicinity.
- Neckarwiese Heidelberg - Enjoy the “Heidelberger Neckarwiese”, a beautiful park on the riverbank and learn more about the surrounding neighbourhoods.
- Old Bridge (Karl Theodor Bridge) - After a brief stop at the riverbank a bit further up the stream, we cross over to the Old Town via the Old Bridge.
- Altstadt (Old Town) - Our route leads us through the Old Town where we will have several small stops. You will learn more about the churches, their history and about modern life in this neighbourhood.
- Bergfriedhof Heidelberg - We will pass the “Bergfriedhof”, the beautiful mountain cemetery, where many important people are buried.
- Gadamerplatz - As a contrast to the Old Town, the newest district called “Bahnstadt” or Train City shows the modern Heidelberg

See places not on the tourist route - Really interesting tour with Lewis. Saw and learned things we wouldn't have on our own. Really enjoyed riding through Bahn stadt and learning about the green community there. Lovely to ride along the many beautiful bike paths. Topped off with the best ice cream ever.

A first-rate tour experience. - Outstanding experience! Leisurely paced riding includes insights into Heidelberg’s recent development along with the views and history of the city’s center. Felix is informative and engaging. One of the true highlights of a two-week trip to Europe.

Great tour and experience! - The Bike Romance tour is a great way to see Heidelberg, both old and newer parts of town. The route, and bikes were excellent, and Felix is a very knowledgeable and engaging guide. His English is excellent. We highly recommend the tour!

Great architectural tour of new and old - It was a dreary day and I was the only one booked, but Felix gave me a wonderful tour, adjusted to my interests as an architect, taking me to all the great modern projects as well as the standard fare. He knew his stuff!

Bike Romance Heidelberg review - It was amazing! I learned a lot about Heidelberg.I think that it was so cool that we got to do the tour on a bike. The tour was very fun and interesting I would definitely recommend to do it. The explanations were very helpful and detailed. I really enjoyed it.

Highly, highly recommended! - What a wonderful experience. A fun, informative tour through a gorgeous and charming city. Everyone should do this. And the fact that it's offered in English AND German is such a blessing.

Best bike tour! - Felix was wonderful! He took me all around Heidelberg and shared a wonderful and comprehensive history of the city. I got to see the more touristy parts and also lesser known spots of the city. He went at a great pace and made wonderful conversation, he was a perfect tour guide. The bikes we used were extremely comfortable! I would highlight recommendation this tour!

Great bike tour - My wife and I spontaneously did this bike tour through Heidelberg on August 10th and we were very excited. It was a lot of fun and very informative. The guide was super nice and answered all of our questions and showed us parts of Heidelberg that we would never have seen. We can only recommend this tour to everyone and it certainly won't be our last.
