Highlights
- Schloss Heidelberg - We will meet at the ticket office outside and we will enter the castle, explaining what you will see at each level.
- Dicker Turm (Schloss) - It is amazing what Louis the 14th has done to this tower. Wait for me to tell you the story about it.
- Schloss Heidelberg - We will start our tour by visiting the beautiful terrace that was the garden of the castle. The so-called “Stuckgarten”.
- Schloss Heidelberg - The biggest wine barrel in the world. You will hear the story about why they had to create such a big barrel.
- German Pharmacy Museum - Amazing story and amazing findings. During the guided tour, we will also visit the pharmacy in the Museum. The visit is included in the entrance fee and the tour.
- Schloss Heidelberg - Let’s enter the castle. After purchasing the ticket that costs nine euros per person, we will enter the castle. You need the ticket to enter the castle.
- Schloss Heidelberg - The Gardens.

This tour will show you the castle of Heidelberg with its highlights: the amazing English Garden, the Fat Tower, the Elisabeth Gate. Entering the castle you will hear about the courtyard and the life in a Middle Aged Fortress, gazing at the Rupprecht Buliding, the Friedrich and Ottheinrich Facade. You will visit the Pharmacy Museum and we will finish after visiting the Gardens.

Knowledgeable guide! Great private tour! - Sarah was incredibly knowledgeable and kept the tour going for the entire two hours! The private element allowed for an intimate experience with a more personal touch to the tour. Would recommend!

Heidelberg Castle full of experiences and a fascinating tour with Sarah - Sarah impressed us right from the start with her warm manner and her extensive knowledge of the history of the castle and the region. She told us about the castle's beginnings in the 13th century, the different architectural styles it has undergone over the centuries and the historical figures who have lived there. The stories about the destruction and reconstruction that the castle has undergone were particularly fascinating. We learnt much more about the castle than we could have imagined. We can only highly recommend Sarah and will certainly choose her to accompany us again on another visit to Heidelberg.
