In the morning, you will venture into Pantishara Valley, which marks the meeting point of a series of softly undulating hills and steep inclines with dry woodlands. Moving on, you will enter a narrow ravine where swallows have crafted numerous nests, known as “Mertskhlebis Kalaki” (the city of swallows). To the south, the valley reveals the expansive cliffs of “Alesilebi,” ideal for birdwatching. The journey continues to “Datvis Khevi” (Bear) Canyon, where evidence of sea mollusks and the fossilized remains of the southern elephant are found. You may also encounter traces of bears, wolves, wild boars, lynxes, and the exceptionally rare wild pistachio tree.
