Trunyan Hill Hiking Experience - We booked a hike with Dekwar and he was very communicative and responsive the whole time. We were then assigned a local guide that took us up and down Trunyan Hill and he mad sure we were being assisted and care for the whole hike. Highly recommended

Great. - Super Professional Guide, exceptional landscape. Only downside if we climb too fast we wait, long and in the cold. Otherwise on top.

Indispensable Guides to an Inhospitable Volcano - My friend and me took a 2D1N camping package to climb Mt Agung with Dekwar recently. Dekwar was communicative on whatsapp and drove us to the mountain on camp day itself. He is a very polite and friendly gentleman who was attentive to our every need. At the start of the hike, we were introduced to our guides Lulut and Wenten. Like Dekwar, both our guides were friendly and helpful to every little request. We took 2.5h to reach our camp site on the first day, after which we relaxed on a mat and was served delicious goreng pisang and hot beverages. However, the location where we chilled out could be better as trees and bushes hindered the scenery on all sides. Lulut built a fire to keep us warm in the chilly mountain air, then served us a tasty meal of nasi goreng for dinner. Our tents, complete with mattresses, were set up by then and after a short supper and a long bout of stargazing, we retired for the night.. or at least, tried very hard to. Turns out sleeping on demand isn’t easy and so we ended up not sleeping a wink at 1am, when we’re supposed to break camp and start the day’s climb : ( We took 4.5h to reach the summit. The rocky terrain was doubly challenging at night and our progress was slow but sure. The actual summit area was pretty small for climbers to gather but our guides enthusiastically helped us took group photos of the beautiful sunrise. The journey back to the campsite took 5.5h because my friend’s legs gave out and had to rest ever so often. On the bright side, the weather was clear and the view was spectacular all the way down. Despite the snail’s pace, our guides were patient and still endeavored to ensure our safety during the treacherous descent. Wenten, especially, was full of cheer and hummed happily even though we had to stop for breaks frequently. Upon reaching our campsite, we were served fruits and beverages as our lunch/tea. I ate about six oranges and four bananas while Jack napped for an hour in his tent. Our final descent took 3h and brought us below the clouds into the forest again. Here, we managed to pick up our pace a little due to the more forgiving terrain and eventually, at long last, reached the end of our journey. Exhausted and sleep-deprived, we bade our awesome guides farewell and met up with Dekwar, who unfortunately had to send us home through peak hour traffic. It was just as well that we slept most of the drive back to the hotel. This climb is an exhausting but memorable experience for us. Our guides, Lulut and Wenten, were indispensable and took good care of us throughout the trip. The prepared meals were tasty and the hot beverages felt amazing in the cold. Last but not least, all the equipment, especially head torches and trekking sticks, were in good condition. We were happy with our guides as well as Dekwar’s services, and would recommend them to anyone looking to climb Mt Agung!

Agung really has you. - Lulut is a particularly good guide. My Norwegian friends walk tremendously fast because they often hike. So the guide has been taking care of me in the back, walking slowly with me the whole time, showing me the way. He was tired because he didn't rest well, but he carried lots and lots of food on him and followed me all the way. Argonne has a lot of itineraries, but this one is good in English, can communicate and understand, and all the services are clearly written. I prefer this institutionalized service, after all, to be safe on such a high mountain.

Best sunrise with the best guides! - My wife and I had an unforgettable experience, climbing mountain Agung with the guides Iketut Kariana and Wayan Sujana. Their professionalism, knowledge and kindness added to the overall experience. We reached the campsite and slept there until 2:00 am, when we started our way to the summit. Iketut and Wayan had everything we would need to sleep cozy and eat well. We recommend 100% climbing Agung as it is one of the most beautiful sunrises we have seen in our lifes, and also, make sure to have these guides by your side!

Hike to Mount Agung Summit ⛰️ - The process of booking was easy! All communication is through WhatsApp which is very convenient. The hike itself is very challenging but the views at the top are worth it. And actually the views coming back down are even more amazing than the sunrise. My guide, Kohmang was super cool and friendly. Bring water, a jacket, and shoes that have some grip or tread! Read all of the instructions you receive before hand and listen to your guide. Be respectful of the prayer sites and offerings along the way - the mountain is truly sacred for the local people. One piece of advice, something I will do better next time I go: on the way to the top, several hiking groups merged. This was fun because there was a lot of joking and making friends! 👍🏾 But on the way back down, it was like a race with each other to see how quickly we could finish! 🏃🏽‍♂️ I wish I had taken my time to enjoy the beautiful morning views, instead of trying to keep up with the group, but I was too proud to get left behind! I would definitely do this trip again!
