Recommended - An excellent way to introduce yourself to Delhi and the back streets, the chaos, the character and of course genuine food. We found the food to be really good - a mix of small bites, curry, sweet. Good service and great people along the way. The only criticism is perhaps too many dishes! - felt very full after. All food was very freshly prepared, vegetarian and safe.

Delicious food and a wild atmosphere - What an experience! 100% recommend. Booking: we booked online and immediately were contacted by the company regarding members booked (toddler/pregnant family member). I felt they were instantly putting our safety and well being ahead of making money. Tour: the tour was excellent. We tried so many dishes and everything was offered at different spice levels. All the venues were clean and all used filtered water. Guides: our guides were amazing! They went out of their way to make sure we all were safe and felt comfortable. They had great knowledge and made the tour feel easy for us! We had a toddler with us who was getting a lot of attention from the locals, the guides helped with understanding the fuss and also dispersing the crowd if it became too much. Of note: - limited western bathrooms. We were advised when the last one was so we were able to make use of if needed. - it was HOT. There are no air cons at any of the venues. That being said, it wasn’t unbearable. There were fans and they did their best to keep everyone cool. We also chose to come at this time of the year so it’s also to be expected. The guides went above and beyond to make sure everyone always had cool water to drink. - travelling with a pram is doable. Ours is a travel pram so folds up easy and it’s light. All venues did their best to accommodate it where possible. - writing this review a few days after the tour and no members have been unwell. My family all agreed that if we had have tried to just browse the market on our own we would have been overwhelmed and left. It was truly a great way to see the market and sample delicious food too

Definitely worth visiting early on your trip - This tour is worth every penny. It really gave an insight not only to Indian food but was great to get our bearings around the market. Our guide was on time professional and communicated very well with us prior to trip. Do not eat prior to this trip the food which was included in ticket price was endless.

Nice way to experience Old Delhi. - We tried many different things and it was a nice way to experience the most famous part of Old Delhi. Mostly things for the sweet tooth but also savory and “real” food. Not too spicy.

Unhygienic causing me to have diarreah in a nasty toilet. Other than that: friendly guide, decent food and interesting cultural - The tour was generally good, but due to some things the tour was ruined for me.The guide was friendly and talkative, but he had a heavy accent which made it difficult to understand sometimes. The reason this review is a 2/5 is mainly because of hygiene. Some of the places we went to were okey, but a few of them were bad, and very unhygienic. Taste wise it ranged from barely eatable to very good (at the end of the tour), though most of it was good. The bad hygiene however caused me to have to run to find a toilet. I suspect it was due to the puri puri served with cold water and some potatoes and spices at one of the street stalls. We also had dirty plates at the last restaurant which I mentioned to the guide. He wiped it up with some paper towels, though I don't think that made it any better considering how the paper towel was not packaged. Just before we ate the puri puri (which made my stomach upset) we were at a jewlery shop with a decent wester style toilet. About 20 minutes after the puri puri (when we were less than 15minutes away from that bathroom) I asked if he knew of any toilets nearby that I could use. He pointed towards the local public toilets which were about 2 minutes away. I found the toilets and went into. They were horrible (to no fault of the guide, but still... He could have told me before going). The toilets were incredibly unsanitary. There were stalls with faeces smeared in the corners, a metal sheet as a roof, toilet stalls with doors so rusty most of them were only half and with holes going through them. The toilet itself was a squatting toilet with a bucket next to it that you could fill with water. To sya it in another way, the 5 rupee was not cheap for what you got. In fact I'd pay 100 rupees just to avoid seeing what I saw. Needless to say I went out and back to the tour guide and asked if there were any other toilets to which he said there would be later on (spoiler alert, there were none). I asked at two later points during the tour, but got the same answer, and that toilets are bad in New Delhi. About 10 minutes after I last asked my stomach worsened and I had to run to the nasty public toilet. There was like I mentioned no toilet paper and no bidet. Just a bucket that you had to throw up to get an water out of. Needless to say I felt dirty the rest of the tour, and the best food of the tour at the end left me dissapointed (probably because of the bad toilet experience). Overall 2/5. The food was decent, friendly guide, but a very bad experience overall due to unhygienic food, toilets and air. My cousin whom I was with had a better experience but still only 3/5 due to hygiene My recommendation to the tour guide if this happens to someone again: 1. Please give them the address to the jewelry shop with the western toilet so they can decide if they want to temporarily split up from the group or not. 2. Provide more than just 1 toilet break early on in the tour. There should at least be a toilet stop near the end, after the puri puri stand. 3. Find a more hygienic place that serves puri puri. Cold indian water is not good for you, especially for westerners that aren't used to the same bacterias.

Couldn't understand the guide and no cooled venues - Running this tour on a day when 35 degrees felt like 48 degrees when there are no air-conditioned places on this tour meant that we had to leave early. Air-conditioned places are a requirement for Western participants and I expected a few. Also, the tour guide did not project his voice and spoke way too fast, which meant that unless you were standing right in front of him, you could not hear. I got 20% of what was said. Although we left early we were not "cone hungry" full that was expected.
