Eye-Opening and Thought-Provoking Slum Tour in New Delhi - My wife and I recently did a slum tour in New Delhi, and it was one of the most impactful experiences of our travels. We went in with open minds, but the tour exceeded our expectations in terms of depth, education, and human connection. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and respectful, giving us insight into the daily lives of the residents while ensuring that the experience remained ethical and non-exploitative. What stood out the most was the resilience, warmth, and sense of community we witnessed. Far from being a place of hopelessness, the slum was full of hardworking people striving for better opportunities, children eager to learn, and small businesses making the most of their resources. The tour also highlighted some of the challenges faced by the community, from lack of sanitation to limited access to education, but it never felt voyeuristic or invasive. Instead, it was a chance to learn, engage, and appreciate the strength of those living in these conditions. A good experience richer - An extremely interesting tour that provides deep insight, with a guide who himself lived here. Hence also direct personal contacts with residents. No harassment by children. Lots of impressions. Would go again. Karl

Loved it - This tour was fabulous and so informative. The tour guide teaches the kids in that community, so everyone knew him. It was fascinating to learn about their life there. The people were so friendly and the kids were adorable. We couldn’t take pictures since we were in their community. But I highly recommend this tour.

Showing the heart of the local people - The friendliest guide, Santan is extremely informative and well known in the area. He showed us anround introducing us to locals like we were one of the family. Highly skilled individuals whether deftly chopping chicken, making pastries or the intricate paper tissue bread which takes seconds to hand craft!

Heart warming tour - Such an amazing tour. Our guide Santan has a unique relationship with the local Zakhira community. Santan is a generous man, giving time and funds to help educate and give opportunities to the children. We spent quite a bit of time at his one room classroom, sharing stories,snacks and drinks with the children. The children were very proud and excited to show their classroom and engage in conversation with us. It was a moving experience. I would highly recommend this tour 💯

Nice overview of the life in the biggest slum in Delhi - Nice overview of the life in one of the biggest slum in Delhi. experience, safe, good explained. Only point of attention was that thee tour was 1,5 hour and not 2 hours otherwise it had a 5 star rating
