Delphi: Worth the Trip - Delphi is just amazing and I am so glad we went. The audio tours were a bit dry and very factual so we didn’t love them and wished we had splurged for a live guide.

Very nice archaeological site in scenic mountain setting - The archaeological site of Delphi is worth the trip from Athens. It's in a quiet, scenic mountain setting in contrast to the busy, crowded city of Athens. There are guided bus trips to Delphi, but it didn't sound like they give you sufficient time to see all of the archaeological site and museum, and really experience it. We rented a car from Athens Car Rental (ACR) and spent the night in Delphi and were really glad that we did. Driving in Greece was no problem at all, many road signs were in Greek and English, the traffic through the countryside to Delphi was light, and Google maps on our phones worked great for navigation. Also, Google translate using the phone's camera is amazing. In hindsight, it would have been nice to spend two nights in Delphi. I saw a couple reviews that mentioned your ticket to the archaeological site and museum was good for two days, so you could see the museum on one day and walk through the archaeological site the next day. We found this was not true, at least not for our tickets. Be sure to also see the nearby Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia (no ticket required). In early May the weather was cool.

Delphi experience. - It was one of the most exciting experience we had in Greece. Delphi is a scenic place with a very cool weather.

Great place to visit , super views - A very interesting and enjoyable visit. Quite a steep climb but I was expecting this. Great views of the surrounding area as well as the antiquities. However………. The audio guide did not work so that was no help at all. Also I discovered on arrival that as an EU citizen over the age of 65 I am eligible for a discounted entry ticket, so I paid too much when buying online.

Beautiful park but unclear tickets - Husband and I recently visited the archeological site but not the museum. The archeological site is beautiful. However you are not able to go down to the gymnasium. The temple of Athena is a fair distance down the street and be careful not to get run over by a bus! We were unable to visit the museum because we unknowingly chose to view the ruins first. They wouldn’t allow us to enter unless we purchased another ticket, even though our tickets said they were valid 6/29/24. No where on the ticket does it specify you have to start at the museum. So be certain to start at the museum.

Site was spectacular. Very disappointing that I paid for an audio tour that didn’t exist. - I paid for an audio tour and the site supervisor told me an audio tour didn’t exist. I paid for a service that was not available.

Tickets previously used, couldn’t get in. - Our entry tickets had been used and we couldn’t get in. We had to stand on line and buy new tickets. This supposedly happens every day!

Download of tickets did... - Download of tickets did not work. It was also cheaper to buy tickets there. Viator did seem to give me a prompt refund.

Its a scam. - The supplied tickets were refused by the Delphi ticket office. I had to buy 2 replacement tickets. No response to my email to Key Tours for refund. Its a scam!
