An intimate tour of beautiful Delwara - We had an amazing tour with our guide, Himmat, at Delwara ! He showed us the town, the beautiful Jain temples and we also went on talking with residents about their life and their work. He also explained us a lot about the history of the place and how it came to be which was very interesting. This tour is very different from the other tour we did in India. It feels more intimate, much closer to the people that live there and so we think its a great experience to do near Udaipur. All in all, we highly recommand this tour and if you can have Himmat showing you around it will make the experience even nicer !

Wonderful experience but please book directly - Beautiful walk with very knowledgeable guide. Try to leave Udaipur it is just a 45 min drive. IMPORTANT: The only thing I would recommend is to book the trip directly with the guide as it seems their account here is blocked and even though booking goes through he does not get a notification or the money. We had to call him to learn this. He agreed to do the tour even though the account was blocked.

A walk for the heart, soul and mind - Joining the walking tour was an amazing experience for us! We recommend it to everyone who is nearby. We took a 45 min drive there from Udaipur but you can also take the local bus. Walking through the village was quiet an adventure while learning a lot about the traditions, what they did with the village and meeting locals as well. Our guide was very knowledgeable and every question was welcome. We learned a lot. A very special place to visit. Dont just stay in Udaipur but come to Delwara. Pre-Communication was very good as well. Best to call and arrange a time.

Rural india uncovered - a remarkable experience - A perfect, calm, wonderful experience. Himat, our guide, showed us the once very important village of Delwara, let us taste some street food (very delicious), showed us a explained the village's history, and when knowing our interest in the built heritage, even showed us inside a couple of historic houses and havelis. We also visited some important Jain temples, and the Sadhna textile workplace where we bought some beautiful textile. A truly remarkable experience with a wonderful guide. Definitely one of the highlights of our visits in Rajasthan.

Great Cultural Experience - How often do you get to have a good time, learn something interesting and do good at the same time? This walk allows you to do just that, and more. Himmut was our engaging guide who showed us some Jain temples and different neighborhoods while explaining the work the NGO does to help the villagers. The tour ends at a women's handicraft store which has several nice items, though there is no pressure to buy. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Rajasthan.

Delwara Village Tour - The village tour was really interesting, especially for my kids, for whom this life is so far removed from their own. Admiring the different historical sites, colored doorways, paintings on the house walls, small functional shops on the way, as well as a visit to a “living” temple was a wonderful experience. And Himmat was a fantastic guide all along! Highly recommended.

Good village tour experience - Himmat ji took us around the village and shared amazing insights and stories about the place. The village itself feels untouched by time.
