Mind blowing snorkel fun - Throughly enjoyed this cruise .The snorkelling was amazing on this trip. We spotted so many different coloured fish and it was great to go to so may different locations to see the fish and coral. Amos our snorkel guide and marine biologist was very helpful We also went to so many beautiful locations and the scenery was amazing. Suli the Cruise Director was an amazing host (10/10) and the crew worked really hard to make it a wonderful experience. Please note that this is not luxury cruising. The Reef Endeavour is 25 years old and whilst the food is excellent, for those that are wanting fine style dining sitting under chandeliers then this may not be the cruise for you. As there was only 70 passengers on board I enjoyed how relaxed it was and it was an amazing experience.

Not Your Grandma's Cruise - I am not a cruise vacationer; and that's probably why I truly enjoyed CC's 4 night trip. If you like cruise ships the size of a container ship, with lights, bells and whistles to rival Vegas, laying by the top deck pool with 5,000 of your future BFF's, D-listed entertainment, waiting for tinders to put you onshore for a limited time excursion, and then some arm-twisting by the staff to tip at the end of the trip; then this is not your kind of cruise. Limited number of passengers, warm and sincere staff, decent food (dinners were excellent) and the ability to pull right up to vacant islands for snorkeling, kayaking, SUP'ing or laying around doing nothing were some of the defining characteristics of this trip. It is a let-your-hair-down casual and fun experience. Rooms were nice with ample space and well-maintained. Nothing like watching a quiet Fijian sunset, with drink in hand with some equally appreciative people around you to share the experience. Staff was warm and helpful without being intrusive. We needed to get off of the ship early to make a flight and the crew took care of everything - no stress whatsoever. This is probably a repeat adventure.

Wonderful cruise despite the ship’s technical issues which will be fixed shortly. - Cruise was part of a package so after 5 days atSheraton Denarau we embarked on the Reef Endevour for the 4 day cruise. Firstly the ship needs major repairs and renovation. I beilive it is going into dry dock this week. The cruise itself was excellent with plenty of opportunities to snorkel and swim. Weather was great with little to no rain. Each stop had a tender disembarkation to the beach or for competent snorkellers snorkelling straight from tender. Only issue with tenders is older passengers found entry and 3G it to the water was difficult if snorkelling from tender. Food on cruise was excellent with a great variety and as only 130 passengers the ship never seemed crowded. As intimated above there were a few technical issues with ship such a hot water in shower and and doors difficult to open/close. Generally needs an update and I’m sure it will happen in the next month. We were on B deck and the room was as good as many other cruises we’ve been on . Plenty of storage and well decorated. Bed was excellent. For older passengers the stairs on the ship were and issue as was the door lip into the room. Overall an excellent cruise. The staff were the best part, very friendly and very knowledgeable on the different locations. The native welcome to the remoter island was a wonderful experience as was the kava ceremony. Would highly recommend this cruise for active people. If you’ve got mobility issues I’d probably try another option.

A great 4 night cruise - We have recently done the 4 night Yasawa Islands tour. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great, so some of our scheduled activities were changed. The snorkelling is good. We snorkelled off the tander, and also the beach. Probably the best thing we did was swimming in the cave. The meals were lovely, and the crew great, and very helpful and friendly.

Mostly Plusses - Many pluses overall and certainly very pleasing snorkelling. We did the 7 night Yasawa option; which I would recommend rather than just doing the 3 or 4 day parts. Wonderful staff at all levels makes up for the age of the Reef Endeavour and the less than perfect general ship's organisation. A bit too much Fijian Time casualness for me and to a few others on board. Despite supposedly trying to mix the seating mix at the al a carte dinners, were were placed at the same one of two tables with very much the same other passengers. We were then mostly near the last to give our menu choices which then sometimes were already fully taken. We were also almost always the last to finish being served desserts and thus meals were not finishing until a too late 21:30. The table(s) above were also too close to the too loud entertainer's speakers; making normal conversation a challenge. We found many of the meal choices too spicy eg one lunch was a curry only set of meals. The shore excursions were mostly well managed. Almost all landing are wet; so reef shoes, sandals, flip flops are the go to footwear. Many of the beaches visited though are mostly soft sand. The access off the back of the ship to the 3 main boat tenders is well thought through. The lack of life jackets though on all 3 of these of these boats was "interesting". The visit to the seaside limestone cave and then the nearby Blue Lagoon area was a cruise highlight. If you are expecting a P&O, Carnival, Princess, etc cruise then you have not properly done your research. Neither is the ship and its management up to the Coral Expeditions, Quark or Aurora std. The focus on the Captain Cook offering is close access to remote beaches, reefs and mostly away from mass tourism villages. 3.5 stars really for me but I would go back; particularly if you can get a 30+% plus booking discount.

Think twice about Caledonian Skye - Staff just amazing food very good The ship outdated Cabin not that clean Smelt quite mouldy Step into a bath to shower with mouldy shower curtain Lunch on deck in the heat of the day wasn’t enjoyable even staff wasn’t happy about it 23 passengers not real happy and really hot and still wouldn’t let us eat in air con dining room at lunch only dinner At least there wouldn’t of been flies in the dining room fighting for the food Staff were embarrassed about flies on the food we were expected to eat.. Snorkeling was great Beach swim great Overall disappointed with the ship and no pool on it or provisions to swim when others off at village church etc.. using Zodiacs to get on and off was hard word Lucky we were all reasonably fit

Avoid this ship unless you like cockroaches!! - The staff were amazing, friendly, happy and always available. The reefs were nice to snorkel and the caves were awesome! That’s where the good part ends!! The ship is filthy, cockroaches crawling all over the place. The food was way below average, the rooms are tiny and dirty. We didn’t get a hot shower once in 4 days. Completely cold and not enough water pressure to wet your hair through. We paid over $6500 for 4 nights for 3 passengers - we expected at least a clean ship with hot running water. Do not make the same mistake we did!!! Look elsewhere.

Nice Crew, Filthy Vessel - We took a 3-night cruise to see a bit more of Fiji than we saw at the Volivoli Resort on Vitu Levi the previous week. There were high and low points about this little trip. Suffice it to say that I'm glad it was only for 3 days and that I felt bad for the passengers who were there for 7 days. The good: 1. The crew were all very friendly and helpful. 2. The land excursions were wonderful. The highlight of our trip was visiting a small boarding school and the adjacent village of Yalobi on Waya Island. The bad: 1. The ship is filthy. Our cabin smelled moldy and the carpet was so nasty that it made my feet dirty. All of the furniture around the decks was stained and gross. 2. The food was awful. Breakfast buffets consisted of nasty, slimy, runny scrambled eggs, tough pancakes, baked beans from a can and hard factory-made hash brown patties. None of that food was hot - it was slightly above room temperature. The coffee was lukewarm, never hot. To be fair their were other breakfast options at the buffet, like cereal and tepid milk and some decent fresh fruit. Lunches and dinners were no better. One evening I was served a piece of steak that was tougher than shoe leather. At least the mashed potatoes were edible. I don't recommend this vessel. I was so glad when the trip was over and we were off of it for good. Don't make the mistake that we did.

When things go wrong - We arrived at Port Denaura about 10:15am on the departure day to check in at the Captain Cook counter for a four night Yasawa Island cruise. As we joined the queue the couple in front told us the 4 night cruise would not be going. I checked my email to find a note from Captain Cook Cruises at 10:12am saying that a ‘maritime admin problem’ would prevent the cruise departing today. Check in was between 10-11am so the email arrived after check in started. The cruise ‘might’ go the next day if the issue was resolved but the cruise would therefore be only 3 nights. At 10:29am the next day, half way through check in time, I received an email to say the cruise was cancelled. The 4 night cruise joined a 7 night cruise that should have departed 3 days earlier. Apparently those cruisers had already been told of the delay and had been left in limbo the whole time. It was clear throughout the whole debacle that Captain Cook had no disaster recovery plan. There was no offer of accommodation or help with flights. We were just offered another cruise or to turn up the next day to see if the problem had been resolved. Problems occur but customers need certainty and they need it quickly so they can make decisions about their travel plans. Problems can be an opportunity for a company to really shine with their service delivery. Unfortunately that did not occur in this instance.
