A great morning!! - We booked the South sea island finding nemo cruise and took our 2 year old daughter. The trip times worked well as we would return to Denarau just before lunch time. Despite all the negative reviews on here - we had an amazing morning! The boat trip out there was about 20 mins - super organised by all the staff. The orientation went for approx 5 minutes which was all useful information. We then spent the entire morning approx 2 hours on the beach, swimming, exploring and we had an incredible time! Yes there are some bits of broken coral, but you’re on an island so it should be expected. Take reef shoes or crocs and there is no issue. The semi submerged submarine was operating, we chose not to go on this as we wanted to spend our time in the water and on the beach. Soft drinks, water, beer etc were included and if you wanted something more fancy you were able to purchase from the tipsy turtle bar - this bar is cash only. There were also some lovely Fijian ladies selling bracelets and Fijian souvenirs. Again cash only. We didn’t do the south sea transfers, we were staying at the Hilton so caught the bula bus there and back which worked really well for us. Overall we had a great morning and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone with young children looking for a short boat ride and a few hours on a beautiful island.

Great experience for young families - Great service from the operator, very friendly staff. Great experience if you have young kids who get bored quickly. We didn't have time to drink while at the island as we were busy snorkeling, you only get 1.5 hrs at the island which goes super fast Amazing sea floor! And Fish Feeding experience was excellent too. We found lots of Doris and friends... and found a blue starfish doing snorkeling, so just keep swimming!

Perfect island trip for young families. - This is a great trip if you want to get the island vibes without paying the big bucks to stay on the islands and also have young kids to contend with. We took our 3 year old son who tolerated the short 30min boat ride with ease and absolutely loved the island. The glass bottom boat is fun for the kids and a good way to see the reef and fish if you can't snorkel. We also had lots of fun in the pool. The time goes quick though and we wished we could have stayed longer but our son fell asleep on the way back to our hotel so the amount of time turned out to be perfect.

If there is a longer tour option to this island, take it. Half a day simply wasn't enough! Magical. - Absolutely gorgeous location. Everything you imagine a castaway island would look like. Great facilities and friendly staff. The half day tour seems like it would be enough but with the time taken to get on and off the tender boat and then on and off the fishing and snorkelling vessels, there was next to no time spent on the actual island. My partner and I would have spent money on a massage, food and drinks, but there just wasn't enough time to do that.

Don’t waste your time!! - While we loved our time in the island itself the getting there & back let the trip down. The port & check in was chaotic…only just got through check in when they made the boarding call only to sit on the boat in the direct sun waiting for them to load luggage etc. Had a great time out on the island, the underwater boat was very cool. Once back at the port we’re straight back on the bus where we sat for the next 35 minutes!! We were told we were waiting for 1 more person & they made it sound like just a few minutes but we were actually waiting for another boat to come i which was about 25 minutes later. Wish I had read the reviews on here before as seems like a common occurrence & would have got the bula bus back. When you book a half day tour because your holiday time is precious the last thing you want to do is sit in a bus not going anywhere.

Waste of money and very rude coach drivers - Definitely NOT worth the money. Started with the coach losing some of our belongings that were loaded under the bus. Staff on cruise were friendly and helpful. When arriving on the island we were told the submarine was not operating. The need for shoes is definitely necessary due to the sand being covered in broken coral and shells. (Not the soft white sand I was expecting) Not a fish in sight and no time for paddle boarding, snorkelling or kayaking and not even juice included in the price (extra fee only) Upon returning to shore, we waited in the coach to return us to our hotel. We were told we’d be back at our resort by 12pm however after waiting for more than 25 minutes for the coach to depart the marina we asked the driver how long it would be to depart (12:15 by this time). He became aggressive and stated that this was a complimentary service and if we didn’t want to wait, we could leave and that he was waiting for another boat to come back to take more passengers despite there being only two spares seats on the coach that was packed full of young families with crying children who were hungry, tired and waiting to be taken back to their hotels. Overall, a horrible experience that wasted hundreds of dollars and hours of our short time in Fiji.

Don't do this tour - Don't waste your time or money. South sea island is great but this tour was a waste of money. You don't get much time on the island (less than advertised) and once you are rushed off the island you get to sit on a full bus waiting for other boats to arrive to fill the already full bus (with many hot and tired children). After waiting 30 minutes we walked back to hotel. Also the glass bottom boat was out of action which they should have advised at time of booking (we booked the day before). So disappointed

Don't bother. Nemos dad found him in more time than this tour. - Tour was mixed with other groups. Poor communication about which group was to go where and do what. Glass bottom boat was out of action so it was swapped with a 10 minute fish feeding boat ride. Once island orientation happened there was barely any time to actually swim and our departure from the island was announced and then happened so rapidly that myself and 2 other people left clothing on the island and had to wait for hours at the Marina to get it back. Wouldn't do it again and would advise others not to. Book a full day tour or don't bother. Massive waste of money.

Most disappointing Fiji Experience - We booked this on recommendation for small kids. It’s supposed to give you 2 hours in the island and have access to all the activities for the early morning start. Where did it go wrong? 1. Chaotic boarding without direction meant the boat left late. 2. Other reviewers are right, it’s a coral island so not pleasant to walk around in at all. 3. We only had about 90 minutes of free time in between disembarking and waiting around for an “induction”. 4. Submersible not running due to repairs - not advised when booking. Kids massively disappointed. 5. About 15 minutes on the island they offered to take people out on boat to feed fish. This returned more than 30 minutes later, reducing time further in the island. 6. A second boat left after the fish feeding boat for snorkeling. They did not advise anyone this was happening so to much of the visitors surprise their only opportunity to snorkel out in the reef was missed as they were all on the fish feeding boat!! 7. Just over $300FJD wasted on a boat ride with some fish feeding and sore feet and upset children.
