Sensational day - Such an amazing day, we booked a pool day bed and were greeted by Nicky (Veronika!) she absolutely made our day, she is so attentive and has such an amazing attitude and presence. The whole team work so well together and want to ensure their guests have a great day. This island is a must do, such a slice of paradise, nice and close to Denarau port. Drinks and food were delish, and the pool a great temperature- it wasn’t too busy either. We were there on a very windy day the pool was sheltered but we didn’t go snorkelling - others said that it was amazing off the wharf. Nicky we want to take you home with us!!

So worth it! - It was an absolutely amazing day that we had. We were picked up from our hotel in Nadi and then taking to Denarau. We checked in and were given our wrist bands and because we still had an hour to board we got some breakfast nearby. The boat ride was only about 20-25 mins from the port and once we reached Malamala we were greeted by such lovely staff. We had a poolside daybed and it was absolutely worth it. The staff are always tending to your needs and constantly check up on you. We were able to do the kayaking before the low tide around 1pm and it was absolutely lovely. We then came back and enjoyed such a lovely lunch which considerably of Fijian chicken curry and a wrap. We then went onto snorkelling and that was absolutely gorgeous, the coral was beautiful and there were so much fish swimming around you. The boat was about 45 minutes late at the end of the day which agitated some people but it was so worth it

Just go! - What a great experience! The staff were wonderful, amenities good and the opportunities for different locations to enjoy the island were nice. We stayed by the adult pool with excellent service and fabulous ladies helping us throughout the day. A fun day for all!

Best Beach Club and Service! - Our favorite day activity during our stay in Fiji! Highly recommend spending a little more for the daybeds, you won’t be disappointed and they are located surrounding the beautiful infinity pool which is quite convenient. The couples massages were relaxing, located in a more private location surrounded by trees but still close to the sea. Both ladies were very accommodating and just wonderful, we also appreciated the check-in on the pressure level. Whilst poolside were under the care of Nicky, who we nicknamed “Goddess Nicky” because she truly was - she provided excellent service. Nicky was prompt with our food (she actually found us in the pool to let us know it was ready so it didn’t sit - very grateful for that!), kept the drinks flowing and even brought them to us when we were in the pool and she has a sweet personality, friendly and with the best sense of humor! The food was great and there were healthy options available. Drinks were the best we had during our whole trip…these bartenders know what they’re doing at Malamala! Mojitos and Mai Tais were legit. The folks here performed as a tight team and it showed, they have synergy. We really enjoyed the beach-lounge music, not too soft/not too loud - perfect. Everything was freshly updated and clean. Even the sands were combed and grounds well kept….a gorgeous place! Also worth mentioning - this island has a dock with a pier so no shore taxi boats, which is a lot safer if the waves get rough late in the day. I dont know if anything could be done about the flies, this was the only unpleasantness, especially when food or drinks came out. We were told it was the season. Thank goodness we could get into the pool or go walk the shores when we needed to escape the flies for a while. We would definitely return to this heavenly paradise with attentive and friendly team…highly recommend!

Nice day trip with some issues - In general a nice day trip, but we had a couple of issues. First up they weren’t able to pick us up from Nadi Town even though our confirmation said something different. We had to get to Port Denarau on our own although we paid for the pick up and drop off. The island as such is great and the staff is very friendly. Just to mention that there is no lifeguard at the island, which we didn’t expect. We thought that there would be at least some part of beach with a lifeguard especially if they let people go snorkelling and kajaking without questioning their swimming skills. For the snorkelling part, we were able to see some fish at on small part of the riff. But most of the riff is vey damaged so we couldn’t see anything there. We enjoyed our day on the island but we aren’t sure if we would go again.

Go somewhere else - Be prepared for very slow service and make sure you check your bill for over charges. The 2 pools are very small (no handrails to walk in with). Snorkeling is very average. Very limited WIFI. The 4.15pm boat was full from another island when it got to Malamala in the afternoon. The disorganised crew managed it all really badly. We then had to wait another hour for the next boat. I am suppose to go back next week but won’t bother.
