We will be back! - My 5 month old enjoyed the day as much as we did, especially the singing on the boat ride there and back. Such crystal clear water and uncrowded since we were the only boat on the island! The boat crew and island ladies offered to take care of bub while we enjoyed our boat ride and snorkel in peace. Highly recommend and looking forward to brining bub back when he is a little older.

Brilliant - Really lovely day out! Definitely grab a cabana on the left hand side of the island. The food was lovely, accompanied by the staff playing the guitar and singing. I really enjoyed my day and boat trip to Tivua would highly recommend

Stunning - Amazing day! The crew were so friendly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent and the open bar topped it all off. Absolutely stunning location with the chance to try lots of different water sports or just float around in the pristine turquoise water then relax in a cabana. Would recommend this for everyone, it even had a kids club!!

Dream Fijian Cruise - Bula everyone, The love and hospitality of Captain Cook Cruise on the sail boat to Tivua Island was excellent....there was never a dull moment on the one and half hour cruise to and fro with the amazing singing, kava ceremony, coconut shelling and very informative commentary by the senior crew Jay. The morning and evening snacks and drinks were good. The activities at the island namely snorkeling, glass bottom boat to view the beautiful coral and the sumptous buffet lunch and drinks along with the serenading was excellent. Made many friends from across the globe. We spent the day together as one big happy Fijian family as we celebrated my wife's birthday on 29th October 2024 A Big Thank You to the Leader Jay and the entire crew including Captain Nathan Regards and Vinaka David Brown

This one is a bucket list tour - Everything. Probably key to enjoyment was the staff, and the seemless organisation, and how could you not love such a beautiful island

Highly recommend: you won’t be disappointed. Well worth the money. - Idyllic place: a real desert island. Snorkelling around the reef. Very friendly crew kept us entertained all the way. Great food.

Fiji at its best - The crew attended to our every need. There was coffee, tea and pastry when we arrived, we were entertained the boat rides over and back and the lunch was delicious. The scuba diving was especially outstanding. The coral and fish were incredible and the leader was very helpful identifying the places to go to see the best of both.

THE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP - Absolutely the best money we spent on our holiday. Crew were amazing. Location superb. Would do it again in a heartbeat. We had 2 adults, 3 children and 1 infant (luckiest 8 week baby) and the trip catered wonderfully for us all.

So much fun - We arrived and got on the boat in a timely manner. Drinks and refreshments were provided on board and we had a beautiful lunch on the island with entertainment. The trip to the island was over an hour but they had singers, mini kava ceremony and music to keep you entertained. The deck was spacious so you could either sit on the chairs provided or the actual deck. There was also an upper deck, but it was smaller and seats filled quickly. On the island you had the option of snorkelling, going on glass bottom boat, tour round the island, paddle boarding, hair braiding, messages or lounging in the huts provided (there were only few do you have to quick to get one) otherwise there were other seating areas under coconut trees and such.

Very disappointing on many levels - We booked to go to Tivua Island with some friends who had been previously and had an amazing time. We'd already booked on Captain Cook's sunset dinner cruise and visited another island (South Sea Island) with another company but we were looking forward to visiting Tivua on a tall ship as shown in the photos and enjoying a full day on the island, including planting some coral. However, the reality was very disappointing. Rather than boarding the magnificent tall ship Spirit of the Pacific, we were directed onto the catamaran in front of it - the same boat as used for the sunset cruise. Speaking to a member of staff on board, this was necessary because they were too many passengers for the capacity of the tall ship, which can only hold 90 people compared to the catamaran that can take 220 (so much for the website's claim of a maximum of 100 people on each visit). The Captain Cook website does include small print to say that the vessel can be changed but it also describes the alternative as a 'luxury sailing catamaran' but it is anything but luxury - the inside cabin is austere with basic furniture, badly fitting carpets and a distinct smell of damp. There were also too many people for the number of seats inside, so many people had no option but to sit outside in the hot sun without any shade. The number of people outside also meant there was no way any sails would be hoisted, so it actually felt more like a ferry! Nevertheless, we were looking forward to visiting such a special island... The journey took approx 90 minutes and we arrived around 11:45. We found the cabana we'd pre-booked for an extra charge with more disappointment - it was described as a 'cabana for 4 people' but turned out to only have 2 loungers...the other 2 people would have to sit on uncomfortable plastic chairs! Nevertheless, it was still a good option as there wasn't enough shade for all passengers. We were informed that lunch would be served at 1, so we decided to enjoy the view with free beer from the bar and wait until after we'd eaten to enjoy the water activities. Lunch offered great variety and was tasty - a couple of staff played various songs on guitars and we had a great time. After I'd digested my lunch, I fancied a spot of paddleboarding so went to the activities shack only to be told that all paddleboards were being used. Never mind, I could go snorkelling...ah, there were no adult masks available either! Kayak? Sorry, all being used! Disappointed, I tried to find out what time we'd be planting coral...I found the resident botanist who was surprised that we'd booked the coral planting as he hadn't been told there'd been any bookings. By now the time was 2:00 and he was just about to go out for the last glass bottomed boat tour but would be back in 10 minutes, so I decided to wait as this was something my wife was particularly looking forward to. Hopefully, by the time we'd done that, there'd be a paddleboard, mask or kayak available. However, whilst waiting for the botanist to return, an announcement over the tannoy informed us the bar would be closing and we'd need to board the catamaran (ferry) for our return to Denarau at 3:00!! By the time the botanist return 30 minutes later (rather than the expected 10 minutes), it was close to 3:00 and there was no time for the planting, although he did offer my what looked like some pieces of rope that he said we could tie onto the jetty as we boarded the boat! This wasn't the type of ecological regeneration experience we were expecting! All in all, the day was a disappointing for many reasons: - Travel on a glorified ferry rather than the anticipated tall ship - Less than 3.5 hours on the island rather than a full day - Many more passengers than the advertised maximum - Insufficient equipment for the number of people to enjoy the surrounding water - None of the additional activities described (kava ceremony, nesting tours, cultural entertainment) By comparison the trip to South Sea Island was much more enjoyable: - Although we travelled by the same type of catamaran, this is clear in the description - Shorter journey, so much more time on the island - More entertainment on the island, including the option for a massage and a pool for the toddlers
