- Whitewater Active - River Bugs are small inflatable crafts with an inflatable tube at each side and an inflatable backrest. You will either sit upright between the tubes or put the backrest down and lie on your front. You will be given swim mitts and these will be your means of steering whilst navigating the rapids of the river.
This session is a great introduction to the world of bugging and whitewater. No experience is needed but you do need to be able to swim.
During the session, you will be given a full safety brief and all the necessary equipment.

Additional Information
White Water River Bugs are a fantastic new exciting activity. Imagine rafting but on your own. Close to the water, you’ll get a unique experience of the river. This is a truly unique experience that’ll get your adrenaline flowing. You need an average level of fitness to fully appreciate this activity. You will be swimming on your “bug” either face first or sitting up using your legs for propulsion. We give you webbed gloves to aid steering and movement. You can guarantee you will have a good time in this session.

Note there is no on-site parking, you will need to park in one of the public car parks in Llangollen and allow sufficient time to find a parking space. Throughout the summer months, any school holidays and weekends this can take up to 1 hour.

River Bugs, what better way to experience the lovely Welsh rivers. - Easy to arrange, Rhonda was brilliant and very helpful. Great morning out. Fun at any level. The guides were great and let us get the most out of it.

Fun On A Wet Day In Wales - What a fantastic experience. Water bugs was fun and exciting way to spend a couple of hours. The guide was fun and very professional. Keeping us safe while making it a brilliant experience. We’ve only just stopped laughing about it and dried out ;)

River bugs was absolutely brilliant - Absolutely fantastic. Really easy to book. I had to email as we used a Virgin experience voucher. The assistant was really helpful and very quick at responding. Although they couldn’t fit us in on the day I initially asked for, they had availability the weekend before, which was great. Make sure you book well in advance as it’s very popular. We were a group of three, one adult and two teenagers, as well as others in our group. Easy to find the meeting point and a good tip would be to book your parking in advance. We used ‘your parking space.co.uk’ and booked for the whole day at the co op car park. It was a 5 min walk away but only cost about £2.50. Book in advance though, as there used to be a maximum number of spaces. The instructor was brilliant.

White water fun - This was such a great activity for all of us. Loads of opportunity for tricks and fun. We learnt loads about how the water runs and how to enjoy it.
We are looking forward to another morning on the River bugs soon.
