Embark on a full-day hike in the pristine Sinharaja rainforest, navigating through dense tree canopies along forest paths to reach the stunning Kekuna Ella waterfall, which features a deep pool perfect for swimming. Additionally, enjoy the Pathan Oya waterfalls, ideal for relaxation and experiencing a natural fish massage from the Sri Lankan suckerfish (Garra Ceylonensis). This intermediate trail takes approximately 5 to 7 hours, ensuring you exit the jungle before sunset. Travelers should be prepared for occasional heavy rain and an abundance of leeches during the rainy season, but appropriate clothing will offer protection. Leech socks, raincoats, and binoculars are provided. Please bring swimwear for the waterfall and insect repellent if needed. Remarkably, the forest’s pristine ecosystem is free of mosquitoes!
