Great experience - The crew were all great, friendly, well organised. Nova was our tour guide and he was brilliant. Lunch was included and it was yummy, snacks provided also. Unexpectedly we were also taken on a short drive around the island and taken to lookout point where there was a bar and pool overlooking the ocean. The only downside was there were probably too many other boats in the one area at a time. But still an amazing experience to see the Manta Ray.

We saw multiple manta rays !! - We saw multiple manta rays !! The guides were great and very welcoming. Only down fall was that we were at the front of the boat with no shade (3 out of 8 rows weren’t under the roof). Other than that, we had an awesome day. Yummy food and snacks before and after snorkelling.

Nusa Penida no thanks! - Visited Nusa Penida one day. We relied on a reliable local tour operator The programs are similar to each other. Once you arrive on Nusa Penida with a fast boat you take another boat (type speedboat) the number of people varies, we were 20, you go at full speed towards the stages (it must be quickly respected the schedule to see three places to see coral rays and turtles). What I would like to point out is that before getting on the second boat in Nusa Penida they fill out a questionnaire on their health (very summary) for a reason that no one specifies and that is that when you dive to see manta rays the currents are strong and although you are a good swimmer and wear fins it can be difficult to withstand the currents. We saw manta rays, but at the same time we had a bad experience. A man who was on a boat with us risked drowning from the strong current, was rescued at sea by the crew and then by a friend of ours in the boat because she was unconscious and had drunk a lot. We got back quickly and he was helped by a doctor and I don't know how things went. We decided to stop the boat experience We continued in the car and also on this case I detect that the narrow roads have many potholes Personally I preferred YOU and Nusa Penida do not recommend it. Besides it is very dirty. Obviously beti Trips and in life everyone h their own expectations and tastes!

Too much waiting not enough snorkeling - Only 2 hours snorkeling This experience was advertised as a full day trip. And while we were gone for the full day- only about 2.5 hours were actually spent on the snorkel boat and in the water. Now don’t get me wrong the sea life was amazing. But for what you pay- you would be much better off paying a private tour so you aren’t sitting around all day waiting. For reference this was our day: Pick up 0720 Ferry leaves 0900 Arrive at locker and snorkel fit spot 1030 Board boat for snorkeling 1130 In the water 1200 (X3 snorkeling spots about 20-30 mins each) Back at lockers for lunch at 1400 Mangrove tour 30 mins (unnecessary and boring) Then long travel home (truck, ferry, car) Overall it definitely was not worth the money and there was a lot of sitting around waiting with very little total snorkel time. Our time in the water with the manta rays would have only been 15 minutes before we were told we had to get back on the boat. Really dissatisfied overall and wish we could have spent more time in the water.
