The site offers refreshing walks along paved paths through a lush nutmeg forest. Ancient temples adorned with moss-covered guardian statues are scattered throughout the forest. For those staying outside of Ubud and visiting for a day, the Ubud Monkey Forest is often a must-see.

• Tirta Empul Temple - A Hindu Balinese water temple located near Tampaksiring, Bali, Indonesia. The temple complex includes a petirtaan, or bathing structure, renowned for its holy spring water, where Balinese Hindus go for ritual purification. The temple pond has a spring that continuously provides fresh water, which Balinese Hindus regard as holy or amritha. Tirta Empul means Holy Spring in Balinese.

• Tegenungan Waterfall - Situated along the sacred Petanu River in Tegenungan Village, south of Kemenuh Village. This is one of the waterfalls in Bali that is enjoyable to visit and great for swimming. The waterfalls are steep drops along the river’s course, and the area is a lovely place to stay, surrounded by lush greenery and natural beauty.
