Incredible experience, a mix of culture, beautiful views and nature! - This trip was absolutely amazing for people who are interested in the local farming culture of Bali, the local flora and fauna, and generally the wonderful views. The walk was not too strenuous in the dry season, and the local guide, Toto, made sure we did a route that was in the shade of the forest! We would recommend to anybody with a mild-moderate level of fitness. Our driver Arya was brilliant, giving us lots of local knowledge and information on the drive to the location. He was incredibly friendly and happy to take photos for us, with lots of patience. We also asked to make an adjustment to the itinerary last minute and he, and the operator Tour Bali Driver were really flexible and accommodating. The local guide for the trek called Toto, was exceptional. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the local history and nature really went above and beyond. He answered all of our questions on the local animals, plants and flowers and about the local culture of the rice farmers and Tenganan culture. He took us on a different route to standard, as a special route and it was incredible - our favourite part of Bali so far. Overall, we would 100% do this again and would recommend to anybody looking to see the untouched parts of Bali, with few tourists.

Great walk even better views! - Went there with my two children 3.5 & 6.5, husband and mother. We hired a a driver for the day and got a lift to the town. You are required to do a donation at the start and end of the walk. The walk was reasonably hard but once at the top the view was well worth it. You can hire a guide at the start of the walk which is well worth it!

Tour Guide Kota - This was by far one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide was Kota, and you should request him.. here’s why. Kota didn’t just lead the way through gorgeous rice fields, he stopped to show us the vegetation along the way which was safe for us to eat. He made bird noises as we hiked which the birds answered back to with the same song. He lead us down the paddies to actually harvest ourselves and allowed us to bathe in the fresh water streams. His knowledge of the land and the vegetation was thrilling and his positive attitude made a long hike one of the highlights of our trip.
