At an elevation of 14,271 feet, it is one of the most notable peaks in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Encounter Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep, mountain goats, marmots, birds, and alpine wildflowers, all while enjoying breathtaking views of distant mountain peaks, alpine lakes, and glacier valleys.
- The top five mile section of road to the Summit of Mount Evans is scheduled to be closed for the season on September 7, 2024 at Summit Lake.
- The lower section of the road will remain open until October 7, 2024 depending on weather conditions.
- Bring a warm jacket and dress in layers.
- No children under the age of 7. Private tours are recommended for families with children.
- You may experience altitude sickness. Avoid alcoholic beverages for 24 hours prior to departure time.
