Bloody Sunday with John - John brought the whole Bloody Sunday tragedy into perspective especially as the brother of a 27 YO who tried to help a fallen person. He became the voice of a family’s route for justice Even more importantly, John explained how Bloody Sunday is a historical event that mirrors so many contemporary fights for equal rights

Outstanding tour - It was very emotional listening to John's account of the events of Bloody Sunday; what happened to his older brother - William McKinney - and the subsequent fight for justice. The tour lasted 1.5 hours and I only wished it was longer. I would recommend the walk to anyone. It was the highlight of my trip to Derry. Thanks John.

Educational - We really enjoyed the history. I wish in school they would teach us more about Bloody Sunday. I could see the passion the tour guide has for explaining how it went down. I am definitely going to read more about the history. I find the history fascinating and important.

Very eye-opening tour, highly recommend - A major highlight of our recent two-week vacation in Ireland. Our guide, John, said at the start of the tour that he is not a historian, but we would politely beg to differ. Mastery of the content, with a personal touch – his brother was among those killed that day. His personal touch and stories of his family’s struggle – to this day – to get justice made this a very memorable experience. Thank you, John, for sharing your family’s story with us.

'Bloody Sunday' walking tour. - Mr McElhinney was a superb guide. He carefully and objectively explained the events of that day and beyond. To do so despite a personal loss is immensely commendable. Thank you so much.

Knowledgeable guide with lived experience as brother killed in Bloody Sundayy - John McKinney was an excellent guide. So informative. His brother William was killed in the bloody sunday conflict. John has lived through the conflict that followed and 10 years of court proceedings. Given his personal connection he was just the person to be telling this history. He was happy to answer our questions. Thanks John.
