Great trip with great guide - Great trip, guide and deck hand were very personable and entertaining. We caught plenty of fish but it is not always about the catch. It is about making enjoying the experience and making new friends.. And that is exactly what we got with ICX Capt. Chuck. Definitely recommend and we will be back to fish with ICX again.

Awesome Destin fishing with Chuck and Intercoastal Experience! - This was our first time fishing in Northwest Florida and we had an excellent experience with Chuck. While Chuck was very welcoming and easy going, he got us out and fishing quickly. He clearly knew the area and took us to spots where we were catching a variety of snapper. He’s a real pro - we will definitely book with Intercoastal Experience (and Chuck) when we come back to Destin!

Good fishing trip with a good captain! - If you're looking for a perfectly clean boat, this trip is not for you. This is a T-top well used fishing boat. We sailed with captain Brett, who was very accommodating. If you are a seasoned angler, bring your own tackle, as the rods and reels on the boat are typical for "tourist" boats. They are older and very well used with line test well above what is needed and the spools were not full nor level winded. Captain Brett was open to me using my own tackle, which I wish I would have known prior to boarding, as I only brought one spinning combo with only one Got-Cha jig. I left my tackle box in the car. We started trolling live cigar minnows almost as soon as we cleared the jetty. I cast my line near the buoy and hooked a Spanish mackerel almost immediately. We only trolled for about 15 minutes before heading out for bottom fishing. Captain Brett was nice enough to allow me to take a couple casts near the buoy before heading out. The only bait on the boat was live cigar minnows. I was a bit disappointed we didn't have squid aboard. Captain Brett had good "numbers" and put us on fish very quickly. In my opinion, the circle hooks we were using were a bit too large and the majority of the live baits were bitten in half or taken off the hooks almost immediately upon reaching the bottom. I continued casting my only Got-Cha, which was bitten off by a toothy fish. I asked Captain Brett if I could live line a cigar minnow and he was very accommodating by supplying me with a swivel, some stainless steel wire and a circle hook. I casted out the live bait while the others were bottom fishing and eventually hooked up with a nice bonita. Captain Brett took my bottom rig from me, allowing me to hook the bonita on my line which was in a rod holder in freespool. He gaffed the fish easily and even bled it out for us, so we could eat it. We managed to hook some small groupers, snappers, triggerfish and even a remora. My suggestion, being an accomplished angler would be to troll with lures as well as the cigar minnows, use smaller hooks and bring squid and/or good cut bait for bottom fishing. Good trip, good captain!

40th bday trip! - My husband and our boys had a blast with Captain Brett! Would definitely recommend to anyone. Awesome experience! And our fish were delicious!

Great experience! - We had a great time fishing with Captain Brett. We weren’t able to keep any of our fish, but still had a great time reeling them in! We caught red snapper and trigger fish. The red snapper weren’t big enough to keep and trigger fish were out of season. Brett took us to many different spots and really tried to get us some keepers. We also saw a turtle and a dolphin! Still had a great time!!
