Fantastic - Great time, caught lots of fish and the crew was friendly & knowledgable. Weather was not our friend.

NC fishing family - Went out June 11th (after tropical storm came through on Sunday) hoping to catch some red snapper. No luck on the red snapper, but was still able to fill the cooler with other snapper. Also caught grouper, cobia and trigger fish that we threw back. It was the first time for my wife who had not been out on a party boat charter but had done private charters and she done well. We stopped at several places, but had the most luck on the first stop catching snapper two at a time.

Excelent trip. - I enjoyed the hospitality from the whole team. I went fishing this passed weekend and I observed that the team how fast they helped us in a second. Very professional employees. I wanted to thank to the girl on the kitchen area. All the team in general are very friendly I met mike and I was impressed with his kidnes and how quickly he was helping to everybody in the same way is so great and valuable for a company. Captain Antony is one of those best prson's with a great smile and positive attitude!. Thanks Dakota, Blane and Andrea in the gallery of the whole and profesional friendly team. Fantastic Fishing - We were on a 6 hour fishing trip today on the Vera Marie. The crew was great. Especially Shawn (or maybe Sean, not sure of how he spells his name) and Dakota. They were very courteous and attentive and kept our lines baited and were there right away to take fish off of the hooks. They explained everything and answered all of our questions. The day started incredibly with us putting our lines out and catching fish every time the hook was in the water. (Results may vary, as they say in ads :-) .) We we’re also impressed that they called us and asked if we could go a day earlier than planned because the weather would be better. Thanks for a great day! Would highly recommend them for a fishing trip.

6 hours offshore - Great experience for me and my two kids (15 and 12). They had a good time and each caught a bunch of fish.

You cannot go wrong with Pelican Adventures - What a great day of fishing with the best crew I have ever fished with. They went completely out of their way, service was awesome, and the owners are just straight aces. This was the first time i was able to fish in a couple of years due to illness. I couldn't have asked for more. YOu cannot go wrong with Pelican.

Mingos and Trigger Fish - We had no problem catching our limit of Mingos on this trip. We got lots of trigger fish but most under the 15 inch. We also caught red snapper which had to be returned because of June 1 season, and some grouper which were too small. Crew took care of us and recommend the six hour trip.

A little strange, but overall ok - I have very mixed feelings about this trip. My adult son was very excited to go deep sea fishing finally, and I booked based on the images of the trip. However, I got a call the day before saying the boat in particular was not available and we would have to be on a smaller boat, (ended up being a very different boat, no upstairs, half the size), but we didn't know how different it would be so said ok as we were leaving the next day. I never saw the captain, except for his feet being propped up, he didn't come down and talk to us at all, or make any attempt to talk to use during the trip. I don't even know what he looked like; the college boys doing all of the work however, were wonderful, helpful, polite. I wish I'd more cash on me. I think it is very sad that the boat was not like the images portrayed, and that the actual boat docked within 10 minutes of us docking, and had only a few guests on it. It was all very strange. There were no older hands to do the fish fillets, so the younger guys didn't have much experience with cleaning the fish, which was also unlike the pics. I didn't realize there were still scales on the fish, and so many bones, but that could be my own fault. The guests were wonderful, the trip was on a perfect day, and a true effort was made to be sure everyone that wanted to catch fish had ample opportunity to do so. I wanted to be able to give this a 5, but the split from what was advertised was somewhat important to note.

Fisherman beware - They canceled our finishing trip at the last minute because they said they didn’t have enough people on the trip. This is was going to be the highlight of our vacation. Of course by the time they let us know it was too late to find another fishing charter. Pelican Adventures you really suck. I wish I could give you less than one star.

Total waste of money and vacation time! - Do NOT book this trip. The staff is lazy. They do not know where the fish are and the captain is not experienced in finding good places to fish. Our lines were tangled most of the day. No ONE caught anything bigger than their hand and the deck hands were not helpful in keeping baited lines in the water. The worst part is asking the customers to sit inside while the crew scrubbed down the boat to get it ready for the next group. You asked 50+ people to congregate inside the galley during a social distancing pandemic???? So you could turn your boat around quicker to RIP off more paying customers. You should be ashamed. Dont worry, I and everyone on this boat will let everyone know how much you suck. I also contacted your website that states you check your chat page frequently and you did not respond. Remember good news travels fast, bad news travels faster!
