Plantation tour review - Very informative individual tour with Clint who is very knowledgeable. He explained things very well, answered questions and had knowledge about additional historical facts. Before the tour, Jacques gave an in depth history about the area and background of the original inhabitants of New Orleans.

Excellent and informative tour!! - I was pleasantly surprised at how interesting and informative this tour was. Beverly our tour guide was absolutely amazing! She was very knowledgeable, funny, and entertaining. We learned a lot from her. Also, the tour gave what seemed to be an accurate representation of history, and what’s also good about it is that rather than this plantation being owned by millionaires, a non profit historical society runs the plantation tours so their main purpose is to shed light on what happened in the past. We highly recommend this tour!!!

Wonderful unknown gem! - Wonderful tour, Beverly was our tour guide and she was very informative and just offered a great tour! Thank you! I recently toured another famous plantation while in New Orleans in October and was surprised that this did not immediately pop up as an option! It has all the grandeur, natural beauty and history that the others offer! I feel that this plantation might be overlooked by several tourist but is definitely worth a trip and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area! We went with our kids (age 10) and it was appropriate presentation of history. As a side note they have several good restaurants close by for lunch and an old cemetery for any history buffs!

History I’ve never learned - This was a last minute stop and we are so glad we stopped. This was a great tour and history lesson. So much information I’ve never learned. It was fascinating. Our tour guide, Beverly, was outstanding. She is so knowledgeable and really made the history accessible both to the adults and our 8 year old. Our daughter loved the experience and talked about various details for the next few hours (we just went today so I’m sure the conversation will continue). I really appreciated the French, Spanish, creole, plantation, enslaved people history and how they all influenced the development of the area. Definitely check it out!!!

A walk through history - Despite being a difficult era in history, this place does a good job of preserving what they could. Jim was our tour guide and he was amazing. You can tell he is passionate and extremely knowledgeable about history. Ask for him and you won't be disappointed!
