- Museum de Waag - De Waag Museum is an excellent starting point to explore Deventer. The museum presents the rich history of this market town, fortified stronghold, and industrial hub through a collection of renowned artifacts.
- Muntentoren - In the late 10th century, this building was used for coin production. Only affluent cities had the privilege to mint coins at that time. The last coin was produced here in 1708.
- Bergkerk - The Mountain Church, also known as Saint Nicholas Church, is a former place of worship in Deventer. This Romanesque basilica was constructed around 1209 and dedicated to Saint Nicholas. It underwent some Late Gothic modifications centuries later.
- abdij sion - Established in 1833, this monastery is a daughter house of Achel Abbey. It was the only Trappist community in the Netherlands north of the major rivers (Nederrijn, Lek, Waal, Merwede, and Maas). The monastery was granted abbey status in 1935. Most of the complex features Neo-Gothic architecture, designed by Gerard te Riele.
- MIMIK Film Theater en Café | Deventer - MIMIK is a cinema and café that hosts daily film screenings and theater performances.
- Stadhuis van Deventer - The historical Town Hall’s sandstone façade includes a staircase and the coats of arms of the Imperial Hanseatic City of Deventer and the diocese of Utrecht. The building, designed by Jacobus Roman, showcases Classicistic architecture from the late 17th century.

Highly recommended!! - This was so much fun, you go to places in the inner city that you would never normally have gone to. In this way we have seen a lot of the beautiful city of Deventer. Really fun to do.

Original story of the past where you have to solve many riddles. Great! - What a very nice story you have to solve in the city center of Deventer. With the ‘basic’ route we really had to do our best. Riddles are well put together and completely different from Zwolle, which we recently walked with great pleasure. Tip to bring real pen and paper with you on this route. You have to take notes, which was a bit more difficult on the phone.

Surprisingly nice experience through this beautiful old Hanseatic city. - Very nice escape with a fascinating topic from the history of Deventer. While solving the riddles you walk through this beautiful city with its exceptional sights. Highly recommended!

Discovering Deventer from a different perspective. - Did this outside escape together with my sister. A super fun experience. Search for answers together to solve the puzzles. Had some hilarious moments. Even though it was raining, I was able to discover a lot of Deventer. Without this outside escape we would not have discovered these beautiful unique places or hidden treasures. Highly recommended to discover Deventer from this game, because this way you walk through the city in a really different way.

Fun and fortunately no time pressure - Nice outing with our family with 2 teenagers during the Christmas holidays! Unfortunately we had to stop because it was raining so hard that telephones started to fail (Deventer was almost flooded), but fortunately we were able to pick up the thread again the next day. Quite a challenge, but with an occasional hint we managed quite well.

Educational discovery tour at your own pace - Fun and educational way to discover a city. Puzzling, thinking, calculating, discussing and sometimes just logical insight. And after that time, a well-deserved beer on the market.

Great way to explore beautiful Deventer - We did Outside Escape Deventer as a family of five. We really enjoyed the experience and discovered parts of Deventer that we would not have seen otherwise and learned a lot about the city. The questions were challenging (we chose difficult) and in retrospect perhaps we should have chosen the easier level with the children in the group. Nevertheless, it was a lot of fun and we will definitely do other Outside Escape in other cities in the future.

Quite difficult, but very fun to do - We were only able to find the solution with some hints. It is well put together but also difficult. This made it an hours-long activity for us, during which we got to know the city center better in special places. Nice to do.
