Additional Information

Orcombe Point, located at one end of Exmouth Beach, marked by towering red sandstone cliffs, signifies the beginning of the Jurassic Coast, a unique natural UNESCO World Heritage Site based in England.

On the opposite end, the lively Exe Estuary teems with bird species, a relatively level cycle route linking the vibrant Exmouth with charming Lympstone village, the ancient port of Topsham, and further extending up to Exeter.

At its core lay numerous tales of adventurous local pirates, smugglers sneaking in unlawful goods into East Devon, notable inhabitants who found motivation and peace in the stunning sea view, and an active tourism business, once the pioneer in the county and now still thriving.

During my guided walking tours, I delve into Exmouth’s yesteryears, the current times, and its prospective future, highlighting interesting stories from the town’s chronicles and offering many local suggestions for activities and sights while you are visiting.

Fantastic walking tour of Exmouth by Claire - A wonderful and incredibly informative walking tour by Claire. What really impressed was the variety of the tour; from a general overview of the origins and development of Exmouth, the coastline itself to golden nugget stories around a variety of characters through the ages who lived here. It is suitable for all ages, and Claire is super friendly and enthusiastic as we weaved are way through key parts of Exmouth. Highly recommended to make your stay in Exmouth a richer experience. Fabulous.
