10/10 - would highly recommend - Bappi (our guide) was phenomenal. He catered the tour completely to our interests and showed us a local's perspective of Old Dhaka. As a Dhaka native, you can tell he does this out of pure passion. Would recommend this to any travelers (and even locals).

Fantastic, deep insight into Dhaka city life - A fantastic tour of the old town of Dhaka. Tourist guide Nazmul integrated the well-known attractions, but also places where something was going on that day. We started with the Open Day of the University of Dhaka, where there were art faculty classrooms to visit. Spontaneously, we were invited by students to visit their dormitory, an insight into the study conditions that cannot be obtained without a guide and especially without Nazmul. The traces of the revolution in Bangladesh in August 2024 were still visible in the university. We continued with Rickshaw and on foot to a mosque, several monuments to Bangladesh's history, a Hindu temple and then into the colorful, noisy, at first intimidating world of Dhaka's old town. Nazmul's knowledge is extensive and he also knew how to inform about the living conditions and traditions of Bangladesh in very good English. His friendliness and uninitiatedness recommend him if you want to visit special places, for example a textile factory. After a snack in a confectionery and rice biryani, we went on the boat, or rather on the raft, to the other side of the river where ships are being scrapped. Not for the faint of heart! The tour ends at Achsan Manzil (Pink Palace), but Nazmul quickly climbed on a horse-drawn carriage to Beit Al Mokarram. This tour is worth every euro. Without a guide, you wouldn't see half of it and understand next to nothing.

Absolutely the best tour of Dhaka - I can recommend this tour to every tourist who wants to see the best that Old Dhaka has to offer. First, the best guide ever - Mir Shovon, he was very welcoming and knowledgable. Second, with all communications with rickshaws, shops and vendors taken care of you can pack way more into a single day than if you are doing it all on your own. Easily the best spent money in my multi-country trip so far.

Best city tour of Dhaka. Book this one. - This is one of the best city tours we have ever been on. Our guide Bappi did an excellent job to bring this amazing city to life. We spent the full day taking in all the major sights of Dhaka, and we did not feel rushed at all. We felt like we did not miss out on anything. Bappi shared information about the sights with us, and he spoke perfect English. Starting at the flower market, we used public transport to navigate the chaotic streets of old and new Dhaka, there was even time for some Bangladeshi snacks on the way, the sweets and milk tea were delicious. The boat ride was also a really cool experience. I can highly recommend this tour, this was definitely value for money! Look no further and book this one, if you want to see Dhaka in a day.

Look no further. Book this tour today! - I was keen to see as much as I could of Dhaka and this tour did not disappoint in any way! First of, communication was excellent the days before. On the day itself, an itinerary was prepared, but we had all the flexibility in the world to adjust according to our interests. E.g., with the fort closed on Sunday we visited the Ship Yard instead. Bappi gave us a history lesson, an update on current politics and showed us how people in Dhaka live and work. Look no further, book this tour today if you are visiting Dhaka. I am confident that you would have an amazing experience just like we did. Thank you!

Experience and live a day as a local in Old Dhaka! - Well, being a Bangladeshi female by myself, I never ever explored Old Dhaka city, not even in my university life. So, even as a Bangladeshi, it was a whole new experience for me. Me and my German friend wanted to explore the Old Dhaka and I saw great review of the tour in this page. And ngl, it was a great experience! Bappi was very friendly and open to our choice of places to explore. He has a great knowledge of our history and I could finally relate my own history with the development of Dhaka itself. My German friend was very happy to experience complete local lifestyle, chaos and architecture. He had a coconut, local sweet shops sweets, biriyani and also paan! He was impressed with Bappi's efficiency of guiding us in this chaos and keeping us safe, arranging transports for us. He kept me saying, he can imagine, how hard it would be for Bappi to guide the foreign guests who are not familiar with the chaos yet here, as my friend has been in Dhaka for last few days and got used to of the chaotic atmosphere and learned how to cross the roads. 🤣 Bottom line, he was very impressed with Bappi, so am I. I felt very safe in the old Dhaka roads, I loved the fact that they are so busy with their own business, having my German friend with us was not really drawing any attention, they were busy in their own business. Bappi knows all the places very well and how to make a good route in combination of by foot and by rickshaw/tuktuk. I enjoyed the walks as well, could finally feel the liveliness of Old Dhaka. It was my first time to visit the Ahsan Manjil, it was a great place and my friend loved it the most. I loved most the boat ride in Buriganga River, this river reflects nicely how river is a big part of Bangladeshi people. Also the shahbag flower shop, arts faculty DU, Dhakeshwari temple were great visits. His hospitality was warm, kind, caring. He owns the old Dhaka by his heart and is passionate about our history and architecture. It was a great day with him and I highly recommend this tour to all. Even he was very caring about what to eat as unhygienic food can upset the guest's stomach. I am very happy with my experience and would highly recommend it!
