- Fahan Beehive Huts - One of the most intriguing features of the Dingle Peninsula is the Fahan Beehive Huts. These drystone corbelled Iron Age huts are named for their distinctive shape. The Fahan group consists of 19 subterranean and 18 standing clochans (beehive huts). Our guides will take you through the inscribed stones, sculptured crosses, and earth ring forts. If you listen closely, you might hear the songs of our ancestors carried by the wind.
- Gallarus Oratory - The Gallarus Oratory is a 7th-century church and monastic site. It is the best-preserved ancient church and one of the most beautiful ancient buildings in Ireland.
- Kilmalkedar Church - Kilmalkedar is an early Norman ecclesiastical site and National Monument. The existing church building was constructed in the mid-12th century and then expanded around 1200 AD. The grounds feature the corbelled Hiberno-Romanesque church building, an alphabet stone, an ancient sundial, bullauns, and a Promise stone. Experience this incredible historical site with our knowledgeable guides to ensure you don’t miss a thing.
- Brandon Creek - Like the rest of the world, Saint Brendan could only wonder about what lay further west when he set sail from this small wharf in the sixth century. Would he and his small group of followers reach the edge of the world, or would they be overcome by fierce sea monsters that ruled the vast beyond? He didn’t know, but his faith kept him going. The “Voyage of St. Brendan the Navigator,” compiled in the 9th century, tells the story of a group of men who may have been the first to visit Iceland, Greenland, and possibly Nova Scotia before returning via the Hibbertias.
- Riasc - An Riasc is a deserted 6th-century Christian monastic community. Early monks would have traveled to the edge of the world to preach “the word.” The Riasc community represented the edge of the world as they knew it.
