- Kilmalkedar Church - This 12th-century Romanesque church ruin is situated on an earlier monastic site and features a unique standing stone with a “needle hole” and ogham script carved along its side. Nearby, a large stone cross can be found. Close to this site is St. Brendan’s House, offering excellent views of the church within the rural landscape.
- Slea Head Drive - We journey towards Slea Head, passing the deep-water natural harbor at Ventry and enjoying breathtaking ocean views as we approach our first stop at Slea Head.
- Cross at Slea Head - In addition to stunning vistas and photo opportunities at this stop, there is the option to stroll along the winding oceanside road for a few minutes to enjoy more views and capture additional superb photos.
- Coumeenoole Beach - Coumeenoole Strand is a captivating spot for photography or simply relaxing by the water’s edge. With spectacular views of the rugged coastline available from the beach at low tide or the pathway down to the sands, this is a favorite location for many during the tour.
- Dun Chaoin Pier - The iconic winding path down to Dunquin Pier is the historic departure point for settlers heading to the Great Blasket Island. Today, it serves as a launch point for tripper boats visiting the island. Magnificent vistas can be captured along the paths at the top of the cliff, with the option to walk down the steep path for photos from lower vantage points.
- Dunquin - Following single-track lanes, we arrive at a stunning rocky beach with access to a coastal path that offers wonderful views across the rugged shoreline, with the Blasket Islands in the background.
- Clogher Strand - We pause at Clogher Head on our way to Clogher Strand to take in panoramic views of the western edge of the Dingle Peninsula. This expansive vista also overlooks the 2016 Star Wars filming location. Just a few minutes away is the storm beach at Clogher. Depending on the tide, we can access this scenic beach and capture beautiful ocean landscapes from the viewing platform above. This area also features several secluded rocky beaches and rugged coves accessible with a short drive.
- Dingle - As the tour concludes, George will select one of the stunning locations we’ve visited to watch the sunset, hopefully resulting in a memorable sunset and colorful dusk before we return to Dingle and conclude the tour.

I’ve been a regular visitor to the Dingle Peninsula throughout my life as my mother was originally from Dingle. I’ve been living here for over 20 years and I have spent the best part of the last 30 years discovering great locations and the best spots to capture the beauty of the area as a local landscape photographer.
