- Cross at Slea Head - This stop offers breathtaking vistas and photo opportunities. You can also take a short walk along the winding Oceanside road to enjoy more views and capture additional photos.
- Coumeenoole Beach - Coumeenoole Strand is a beautiful spot for photography or simply relaxing by the water’s edge. The beach offers fantastic views of the rugged coastline, especially at low tide, and is a favorite location for many on the tour.
- Dun Chaoin Pier - The iconic winding path down to Dunquin Pier is historically significant as the departure point for settlers heading to the Great Blasket Island. Today, it serves as a launch point for boats visiting the island. The paths at the top of the cliff offer superb vistas, and you can walk down the steep path for photos from lower vantage points.
- Dunquin - Traveling along single-track lanes, we reach a stunning rocky beach with access to a coastal path that provides magnificent views of the rugged shoreline and the Blasket Islands in the background.
- Clogher Strand - We stop at Clogher Head to take in panoramic views of the western edge of the Dingle Peninsula, including a filming location for Star Wars in 2016. A short distance away is the storm beach at Clogher, which we can access depending on the tide. From the viewing platform above the beach, you can capture wonderful ocean landscapes. This area also features several secluded rocky beaches and rugged coves accessible with a short drive.
- Gallarus Oratory - Leaving the ocean and coastline behind, we take a scenic 15-minute drive to the 8th-century Gallarus Oratory, where we can observe and photograph this remarkable example of an ancient stone-roofed building.
- Kilmalkedar Church - This 12th-century Romanesque church ruin is built on an earlier monastic site and features a unique standing stone with a “needle hole” and ogham script. Nearby, there is a large stone cross and St. Brendan’s House, offering excellent views of the church in its rural setting.
- Dingle - After visiting Kilmalkedar Church, we take a 15-minute scenic drive back to Dingle, concluding the tour.

I’ve been a regular visitor to the Dingle Peninsula throughout my life as my mother was originally from Dingle. I’ve been living here for over 20 years and I have spent the best part of the last 30 years discovering great locations and the best spots to capture the beauty of the area as a local landscape photographer.
