- Dingli Cliffs - The sightseeing group start off by heading along the coastal countryside towards Dingli Cliffs, situated on the west of Malta.
The main attraction of these cliffs is the sheer breathtaking beauty of the cliffs themselves, which are still surrounded by untouched stretches of the Maltese countryside. There is also a tiny chapel perched on the very edge of the cliffs, dedicated to St Mary Magdalene, where we will stop for those interested in taking some panoramic pictures of this beautiful rugged coast.
From here we head on foot to Fawwara which is in the limits of Siggiewi. We will walk through the beautiful Maltese landscape and enjoy beautiful views throughout.
- Fomm Ir-Rih - We will then proceed to venture towards the off-beaten tracks of Fomm ir-Rih and Bahrija areas. These are unspoilt and secluded areas offering crystal clear blue waters, tranquil cliffs and valleys and some of the best scenic views of our Maltese landscape.
Lunch would normally be taken either in the rural village of Mgarr, or Rabat or in a place which the guests would have in mind.
- Rabat - Leaving these picturesque rural areas, we will then tap upon an important part of Malta’s early Christian history - the ancient catacombs in Rabat, where early Maltese Christians used to bury their dead. These magnificent architectural complexes served as burial grounds for more than 1,000 Maltese Christians between the 3rd and 6th century AD and were also a popular site for religious pilgrimages in the 12th century.
Entrance fees to the catacombs or historical places in Rabat are not included.
-
Mdina - After visiting the catacombs, we will then head towards the fortified medieval city of Mdina, which is Malta`s former capital city. There, you will venture through narrow winding streets, dating back to medieval times, whilst experiencing different styles of architecture and baroque buildings of great historical importance. The city is surrounded by imposing bastions that offer a magnificent panoramic view of the island.
