Peddling and paddling to enjoy the sunrise with the locals. - Fabulous two day cycling, paddling in the Mekong Delta. Homestay was delightful and the cooking class with spring rolls was fun. We rose early in the second day to watch the sun rise from the kayaks. We travelled by bus, car, taxi, ferry, bike and kayaks. We ate the local cuisine and the guide Phuc was wonderful. Trip was as per the description. I’d highly recommend it. Bring bike pants - although we managed in shorts.

Homestay in the Mekong - cycling and paddling - Wonderful adventure in the Mekong Delta. Paddling whilst the sun rose, cycling through the local area without seeing another tourist all day. Our guide was wonderful. We tried local cuisine. The homestay was excellent with a simple cooking class included. We travelled via private car, bus, taxi, kayak, ferry, push bike and walking.

Amazing trip, great memories - Fantastic trip! We were met by our great guide K.Vien and went on the public bus to the Mekong. It was just the 2 of us so we got to ask lots of questions about things we saw and generally anything Vietnam. The bikes were very good Trek mountain bike models, easy to ride, and K.Vien went at a really good pace, checking in with us & regularly stopping for drinks and water. The cycling isn’t difficult as it’s flat but the weather is hot and humid. We cycled along tributaries of the Mekong, not seeing any other tourists. We stopped for a tasty lunch then joined a private ferry boat which had the kayaks. We then kayaked on narrow off shoots of the river with the ferry helping to get us through the water hyacinth patches. Back on the bikes to the amazing hospitality at Hai Dao homestay with a cooking class by our hostess and a delicious meal. Up early for kayaking at sunrise on the Mekong - amazing but should have worn swim shorts for all the water we ended up sitting in! Breakfast at a local market, another at the homestay then cycle back rounded off the trip… fantastic memories & photos from our personal photographer K.Vien!

Great experience of the Mekong delta - Bao was the best guide ever for this tour - he spoke very good english and was passionate about cycling, kayaking and nature. We also learned a lot about the local culture and people from him. We enjoyed the homestay, the tranquility of the island and the cooking with the local people. Very nice experience overall. Maybe the price is a bit on the high side, given the local prices.

Fantastic experience! - Well organised, great, professional, English-speaking guide Bao, seen a lot and varied! Our guide took excellent care of us, listened carefully to our wishes and also told us a lot about Vietnam when we asked. Two-day trip Mekong Delta; cycling, kayaking and boat trip, short ferry crossings, cooking class, sleeping in a homestay, eating at local restaurants, visiting small markets. In short: discover and experience authentic Vietnam. Recommended!

Fantastic two days seeing the real Mekong delta - We did the two day, one night tour. It was amazing to cycle around and experience how the locals live. The bikes were all safe and in good condition. The kayaking was great and we got to kayak in the morning to see the sun rise, such beautiful views. We didn’t once feel like we were taken to tourist spots and really got to enjoy the beauty of the Mekong delta. The highlight was our guide K’vien, he was so helpful and friendly and knew so much. We felt safe with him the whole time and he would go out of his way to make the experience even better for us. Thank you K’vien. I would high recommend this tour

I cycled along the country roads of the Mekong, kayaked on small canals, and experienced rainstorms. Many kind smiles and gentle breezes made me feel relaxed. This is the usual Mekong! - All in all, I had a lot of experiences. I cycled along a narrow road beside a canal. On both sides were fields of durian, coconuts, and bananas. Bicycles and motorbikes came by. Old men and women, elementary school children. A man was carrying so many durians that they blocked the road. A young mother was riding with three people on her bike, with her child between the handlebars and in the back of the cart. In front of the small shopping street (which was only a couple of shops), women were chatting loudly, creating a noisy and lively atmosphere. People passing by called out to me, and I called out to them. I gripped the handlebars tightly, not giving in to the vibrations transmitted by them, and pedaled as hard as I could. At 5am, my guide and I cycled in the dark, carrying our kayaks from the boat shop. We started paddling together from the small river to the large river. Far offshore, the sun painted the sky, rose, and shone. It was a magnificent view. It was still early in the morning. Fishermen were floating small boats on the large river and casting their nets. Men were carrying loads on their shoulders from large boats to the warehouse. We rowed our kayak slowly into the depths of the small canal. Houses quietly standing by the riverside and a bridge spanning the canal. Motorbikes and bicycles passing over the bridge. Women wearing net hats going to work in rowboats. We enjoyed the morning view of the delta from the kayak. Under the fabric ceiling of the bazaar, there were colorful flowers, live frogs and fish, pig's feet in their natural form, and a woman vividly peeling a pineapple. Everything was fun to see. It was a theme park called the bazaar. We cycled 50km in two days, rowed our kayak in the afternoon and early in the morning, and made taro spring rolls and omelets for dinner, calling it a cooking class. No matter where or when, Vietnamese people greeted us with a gentle smile. They called out to us when we were called out to. We connected with each other's hearts. We were grateful to our guide, who set up everything so that we could experience it comfortably. Because we were a small group, we were able to talk closely with the guide and spend the time stress-free. We even joked around. It's strange, considering he can barely speak any English, let alone Vietnamese.

Once in a lifetime experience to discover the countryside of South Vietnam with an exceptional tour guide! - We had a blast with our guide Bao! The tour was well organized and Bao provided us with tons of interesting information about the Mekong region and had answers to all our questions. We especially enjoyed the kayaking in the sunrise and the little cooking class at the home stay. Bao even helped us getting back my watch that I lost at our previous stop after we were done with the tour. All in all, we can recommend this tour to everyone who is looking for a small adventure to enjoy a glimpse of the authentic Vietnamese life. Thanks again for everything! Dennis & Yvonne

Great trip cycling and kayaking roads, paths and waterways less travelled - Did exactly what it said on the tin. Off the beaten track. Didnt meet any other tourists. Fantastic time cycling down paths visiting villages, market places , local eateries and our homestay. Highlights were a kayak trip to see sunrise on Mekong Delta and an early morning visit to a local market. Travelled with my 21 year old daughter. Lee pitched the physical exertion just right, pushed our limits but not beyond which was great. Thanks for a great trip Lee and also for sending on some great photos.
