- Cu Chi Tunnels - Upon your arrive in Cu Chi Tunnels (Ben Dinh) spending a couple of hours walking around Cu Chi’s rugged ground with our tour guide. Hear how and why the residents constructed an intricate, underground network of tunnels during the country’s recent wars. See other ingenious items used by the residents to defend themselves such as bamboo traps and camouflaged pits. Also on display are various mantras and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500 pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers. It is estimated that Cu Chi tunnels suffered about 500,000 tons of bombs. Each square meter of land contains 3 to 6 kg of bombs.
- Cu Chi Tunnels - Life in the tunnels presented numerous challenges. The tunnels themselves were narrow, measuring only 0.5 to 1 meters in width, forcing individuals to maneuver by bending or dragging themselves. Essential resources such as air, food, water and other supplies were scarce within the tunnel network. Moreover, the tunnels were plagued by a variety of dangerous creatures including ants, poisonous centipedes, snakes, mosquitoes, spiders and other menacing animals. Illnesses were rampant in this confined underground environment, with diseases like malaria and intestinal parasites spreading rapidly. Additionally, the tunnels were enveloped in darkness, necessitating soldiers to memorize every path and turn to avoid falling prey to their own booby traps. However, as the tunnels expanded, certain improvements were implemented, including the establishment of arms stores, hospitals, bomb shelters, kitchens and even theaters.

-Took the afternoon tour luckily weather all good during December.
-Minibus for transport is good and the air-conditioner is working well.
-Tour guide going through the history of the war in Vietnam on the way to Cu Chi.
-Coffee break at the Handicapped Handicraft.
-Tour in Cu Chi tunnels is good as tour guide is known to answer all questions, the shooting range can be a little pricey.

More like a full day tour - advertised as half day - We booked a half day tour to the Cu Chi tunnels - we expected to arrive back at Ho Chi Minh at 2pm, however we arrived at 4pm. Our driver had an accident on our return journey, i was not sure who was at fault but it caused a delay. Also the tour was not hosted by Viet Fun Travel, they took us to another travel company nearby who hosted the tour.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, they play documentary videos on the bus on our way there. The day out at the tunnels was very interesting.
