Hi Boss, look what I squeezed in on my day off! - I had an awesome time biking, kayaking and river boating the Mekong Delta. Our guide, Lee, was knowledgable and showed us the daily life for those living along the river. The bike ride was a mix of trails along the river and narrow passages/bike paths through villages. The street food was great. The fried bananas were delicious (probably moreso as our 10 mile break). This is a great one day trip!

Amazing family adventure - What an adventure! We did the two day bike and kayak tour, with our three teenage kids. Our guide, Bao, was knowledgeable, friendly, flexible, helpful and capable. The bus driver (Than) and boat captain (Uncle Ba) were funny and kind, and we felt safe and well looked after the whole two days. The bus driver was happy to make several unplanned toilet stops, and always knew where to find clean facilities. Bao was happy to make changes on the fly, for example we took a short cut on the bike when the kids were tired. We saw so much of the Mekong Delta up close, and I feel a strong appreciation for how these incredible people live, work and play. We were all a bit apprehensive about the home stay... would it have electricity? (yes it did) Could I have a beer with dinner? (yes, again). The home stay was great and our host was friendly and rooms comfortable. Bao was such a wonderful guide and I greatly appreciate how well he looked after us. I highly recommend this tour with Countryside Adventures.

Action packed day outside HCMC! - We highly recommend Countryside Adventures for an action packed day outside HCMC! Had the best day with our tour guide Lee who picked us up right outside our accommodation. Was a challenging but rewarding journey via boat, kayak, and bike. Disclaimer - it’s super fast paced and involves some rocky/dodgy-ish terrain. But we loved this! Truly a cultural immersion off the usual tourist tracks! You will be very well looked after (and well fed) with street food stops along the way. Also note: There is a minimum group of 4. We went in the low season and so had to pay an extra fee (1150.000VND/person) for a private tour for two. Well worth it we reckon!

Great ride, great guide. - Bao was a fantastic guide....energetic and full of knowledge about the surrounding countryside. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and he tailored our trip to us, and luckily enough for us we even got to have an authentic home cooked lunch at the Boat Captains place, cooked by his wife and daughter, which was a huge privilege for us to share our time with them... The kayak was easy enough to do, yet very interesting, and capped off with a 20 km easy bike ride around the canals and homes of the locals. All the locals were friendly and welcoming, and we thoroughly enjoyed every part of the trip. We would have no hesitation recommending Bao to anyone who is after an extremely unique experience. It was definitely the best tour we have done so far in Vietnam, and lve done a few.. Thanks again Bao, your a champ...

Unmissable experience of the Mekong Delta & countryside Vietnam - Absolutely phenomenal experience! Our tour guide Lee took us through the Mekong Delta river & countryside Vietnam markets & villages in what was a fantastic all rounded day. Lee was a great companion for the day providing great entertainment and knowledge while also personalizing the experience for us. We stopped for lunch, street food, snacks and drinks, the bikes were great and easy to ride. If you visit Ho Chi Minh City and don't do this tour, you are missing out!!!!

Mekong Delta visit - This tour was really great! Our tour guide, Lee, was extremely friendly and had lots of information about the area. Usually, the tour needs 4 people, but it was the low season so the tour was just for my friend and I. The bike ride went through a few villages and pretty scenery. The bikes are okay, and had no issues. Our boat driver was nice and the kayaking was smooth (if a little windy at the start). The floating market was closed, so we only saw the empty boats. The stops for food were nice and we definitely didn't go hungry!

Great time off the “touristy” path, not for first time bikers. - We really enjoyed the “off the beaten” path tour. The fresh snacks on the boat to include fresh coconut were great touches. The lunch was delicious. I rate this a five star with the expectation that my group was familiar and comfortable with kayaking and biking in new/foreign places. If this is a first time to kayak and/or bike in a new place, this wouldn’t be the trip (there were a few single tracks while biking and need to be confident in biking on roads with several motor bikes/cars in certain areas). We did this in June. Apply and reapply sunblock especially on your feet as you will be bare foot in the kayak. Phuc was a great tour guide!

Highly recommended - Had a fantastic day out with Phuc as our guide. Totally lived up to its promise to stay off the tourist track. Be aware that you both Kayak and cycle a long way - a smidgen too far for our ten year old in the humidity of July, but a great experience for the rest of us!

One Injured, One Lost and left behind - Not a good experience and am rewriting as we since experienced much better with another company. This tour was rushed and we were constantly prevented from stopping to look around or take photos. A Belgian family of 4, my wife and I were on this fast race through the Delta. The Mother of the other family needed her husband to push her along, my wife found it hard to keep up and I decided I hadn't paid a lot of money to be prevented from taking photos or looking at life. The result was the guide cycled on leaving me lost and alone in the Delta. My wife was knocked off her bike severely bruising and injuring her by the guide rushing past closely on a narrow path. My previous review, the owner blamed my wife even though she is an experienced cyclist. No acknowledgment from him of the serious issues experienced by both groups. Lunch was good and bikes were good quality.
