Cai Rang Floating Market - Day 2: CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET - HO CHI MINH CITY
The next day, start early at around 6:00AM to visit the famous Cai Rang Floating Market. The market is most vibrant in the early hours of the morning. Witness the hustle and bustle of boats selling fruits, vegetables, and various local products.
During your boat tour, make a pit stop at one of the boats selling vermicelli and coffee. You can choose to buy and enjoy these local delicacies while soaking in the unique atmosphere of the market.
Continue your boat tour to visit a Rice Noodle Factory. Here, you can witness the traditional process of making rice noodles. We’ll also take some time to explore a bustling local market, where colorful stalls are brimming with fresh produce, spices, and vegetables.
Around 9:00AM to 9:30AM: Return to your hotel for check-out, enjoy breakfast and freshening up after the morning’s activities.
- Ho Chi Minh City - After that, begin your journey back to Ho Chi Minh City. En route, make a stop at the 10 Vo ancient house. Explore this historic Vietnamese house, learn about its architectural details, and gain insights into local traditions and customs.
Try your hand at making traditional Vietnamese pancakes, known as “bánh xèo.” This hands-on experience will give you a taste of the local culture. Enjoy a delicious local lunch.
If you have the energy, take a leisurely bike ride around the area, exploring the picturesque surroundings and interacting with the local community.
After that, make your way back to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrive approximately at 4:00pm.

Definitely worth doing this trip. - Great trip to the Mekong Delta area. Vinh was a brilliant guide - so knowledgeable about the local area and was very accommodating about me taking so many photos on the bike ride!
Had some great experiences - drinking snake wine, making pancakes, great boat trips, floating market and cycling.
The bus was clean and a good safe driver.
Lunches were plentiful and tasty.

Mekong Delta and Cai Rang market 2 day tour - Happy to recommend the 2 day Mekong Delta and Cai Rang floating market tour. Our guide (Harry) was knowledgeable, friendly and communicative, and was able to explain the context and background of the activities. I was a solo traveller, and the rest of the group were all couples, but it didn't feel awkward. Some of the tour was a little "touristy", but you have to recognise that that's the only way things like the floating market still survive. Overall, a great experience.

A fantastic 2 day trip to the Mekong - A fully immersive trip to the Delta, getting involved with a number of activities on both days such as cooking and trying a range of local food. The floating market was excellent, sampling plenty of different produce from market traders. The overnight hotel was excellent. Our driver and guide Pham were also first class, Pham looked after us all very well

Loved loved loved this! - I chose this trip, based on a lot of research. It was everything that we expected; and more! Great, clear communications from the company. Our guide, Tony, was wonderful. He paid attention to every detail and brought together the whole group of different nationalities and ages, making it fun but not over the top. He was especially mindful, sensitive and kind to any personal needs eg making sure that everyone was happy with their food and drink - not that easy for a group of 15. Personally, I do not have the best balance; there were a few times getting off boats and on a narrow pathway, where Tony always made sure that I was fine and always held out his hand to help me. I chose not to do the cycle part of the trip and stayed at the restaurant, chilling in a hammock. The floating market was amazing. Well worth the 5am early start from our hotel.
On a final note, we had 3 days to do Halong Bay and the Mekong Delta. We chose a one day private tour for Halong Bay and this 2 day group trip for Mekong. For us, this balance turned out to be perfect.

Action-packed 2 day tour with a great guide and fantastic food. WE LOVED IT! A++++ recommended. - We saw so much in our 2 days, 1 night tour. Everything ran so smoothly, from coach travel to boat connections, it took away any stress.
Our guide Tony was absolutely fantastic. Really informative, knowledgeable and funny. And met some really interesting people too. Great value and great fun. The Mekong was beautiful. Thanks Tony for a great trip. See you again.

Immersive cultural experience you can have confidence in - Communication with this company was excellent. They confirmed our booking right away and provided contact information. Our tour guide Simon communicated with us and reassured us of the plan. They picked us up from our hotel and our bus was clean and air conditioned with large windows for great viewing. Simon made the tour a rating of 5 for his knowledge, compassion to the members of the group, and his ability to fully immerse us in the sights. He prepared us every step of the way for what to expect and we felt very well prepared. The only advice we would give is in addition to recommending comfortable shoes recommend that they should have soles with a good grip for possible wet surfaces such as the floors of the fish market and boarding various boats. We had so much good food along the way ( included) and bottled water was provided. I did not feel rushed except for the first stop at the Pagoda and the noodle making experience was a bit crowded with not enough time for everyone to participate. We had heard that many of the tours pack too much in and everything is rushed but this was not the case on this tour with Simon. Overall, there is no way to experience the Mekong delta up close to the local culture without a guided tour such as this one. I would do another tour with this company and definitely hope you get Simon.

Don't miss this one - I feel sorry for any tour guides that come after Big Dave. He set a standard that is going to be hard for others to beat. Knowledgeable, funny, and thoughtful- what an amazing guide for Vietnam. He curated a tour that showcased the Mee Kong delta, with visits to interesting places, chances to try different things and have new experiences. He shared stories, insights, and laughs but always the consumate host making sure everything was well- organised and everyone had what they wanted. Big Dave's tour exceeded our expectations- we'll be remembering it for years to come.

Great Tour - great guide! - I have to admit that I did this tour several years before. And I told myself if I come back here to Vietnam - I'll do this tour again and insist to go with the same guide. Funny but not to much. Learning us a lot of things - but not to much. Great views everywhere!! Just take a look. We enjoyed the whole tour. And - if we come back to Vietnam.... Great guide Alex!!! We'll see you next time!

Fun Tour - Great tour; our tour guide was Ele! It was a very streamline tour, meaning there was no backtracking and everything was set up one after the other. This tour was a great opportunity to experience a glimpse into Vietnamese culture and tradition. Make sure you know how to bike!
