Best Mekong River Tour - Our tour guide Simon was amazing! The day started slow with some traffic and issues with pickups but other than that, the rest went wonderfully!! The Mekong River is so beautiful and the people there are so accomodating and kind. I would definatly recommend this tour - such great value for the price. Simon was extremely knowledgeable, cracked some jokes here and there, and really cared about our groups experience. 10/10 😊

A fun day, but a bit too touristy - The tour was entertaining and we enjoyed the day. If you want to experience something different from the city, then this is a nice way of both learning about and sightseeing the countryside. Please keep in mind that many other companies offer similar routes, making the journey quite touristy. At most of the stops locals try to sell you different products. Thankfully, we did not percieve them as pushy. Most of the products they tried to sell, we had already tried for free in advance. The lunch was decent, except for the deep fried fish roll. But since we did join the trip for the sightseeing, and not the food, this was okay. At the lunch spot we got the chance to go bicycling. The activity was free, and you could go down a road along the river. We had a blast and enjoyed the weather! We chose the smaller group tour (max 12 people) in a van. We belived this would be a good idea to both get some more comfort and feel more personal with the guide. The guide, Ben, was both funny and informative. He seemed engaged about his job, and made the trip feel personal. As we went on a smiliar route to a lot of other companies, I believe that the quality of the guide determine the overall experience. Ben really delivered at a high level! This is the main reason for giving a higher rating. Unfortunately, the van was really tight. The seats were in multiple rows, 3, 3, 3, 3 seats per row. The space between each row of seats were too tight for me, making the transportation uncomfortable. My feet was pushed against the seat infront, and I am 182 cm. Due to the configuration the van feels cramped. The reason for devoting a large paragraph about this is because of the time spent in the van. The trip is 2 hours each way, meaning a total of 4 hours of the entire trip. To me, that is not a luxurious experience - like the name of the tour/option stated. Anyway, the feeling of being part of a smaller group, and luckily getting Ben as guide, made it worth it.

Amazing tour - We are a small group of 8 and everyone is friendly. Our guide is Nhi and she is very fantastic. She is the best guide we had in Vietnam with her knowledge and attentiveness on our needs. She is also very approachable and has good humor. The places we visited have great food and is worth it for authentic local experience.

Interesting part of Vietnamese culture - Good experience seeing the pagoda and the many statues of monks and buddhas. I enjoyed the boat ride to the two islands and the tea was nice and the fresh fruit was lovely as we enjoyed the music. The. Lunch was amazing I felt that the pressure to provide tips was greater on this tour than any other I had been on. I too almost always but I do not like being told by the guide what I “should do”.

Excellent guide, but overall the tour felt like money grab - Our guide, Chloe, was wonderful. Her English was very good and she was knowledgable, engaged and lively. The tour itself though felt like it was stop after stop where you were expected to buy something from the locals or tip them. It was uncomfortable and made the tour feel like a money grab rather than an immersive experience into the culture and livelihood of the people of the Mekong Delta.

A tourist trip and lunch.... - James our guide was amazing! He made the tour worth it. The good, the trip was well run, and James knew loads about the area, vietnam in general, and was super helpful (I would give him 10 stars!) The tour however is several tour companies all doing the same thing on mass. It starts with a stop at a Buddhist temple, which was pretty interesting, then you jump onto a large(ish) boat to go to an island right near Mekong city, not sure what this was meant to be but you get a few locals playing the same songs to groups of tourists and sample some fruit. Then you hop into a tuc tuk, which is fun, and go to candy factory, where there are a billion tourists all groups watching the same thing. Finally, you head to a fish farm, built to feed tourists, and take you on a very very short canoe ride, bumping into other tourists doing the same short ride. So lunch was very good, but if you want to see the Delta this is not the trip, you get to see very little or nothing of what the delta is, if you want a fun day out and a decent lunch this is the trip for you.

Nice tour but poor comms - Overall, the tour was nice and the tour guide was friendly and engaging. However, my experience was marred by poor communications from the agency. I booked the tour before going on my trip to HCMC, and the confirmation indicated that the pick-up would be at my hotel at 8am. However, on the day of the tour, a staff rang me to inform that I was supposed to go to another pick-up point at 7.30am and the bus was waiting for me. She said an email was sent to me to inform me about the change. I checked my email and told her I did not receive any such email. She later sent me a screenshot to show that they sent a message via the booking platform Viator. The message was posted on the day I left for the trip. First of all, it should not be assumed that I would check my email nor login to the booking platform after I had left for the trip. Such messages on changes in pickup location or timing should have been sent via phone message or even a direct phone call. Secondly, I did not book the trip on Viator, and did not receive the email at all. I had to take a taxi quickly to the pickup location with my family members, thus incurring extra costs. There was no apology from them nor acknowledgement of negligence in communication. Such communication practice is totally irresponsible, unprofessional and incompetent. If they could call me on the phone when I did not turn up at the pick up point, I see no reason why they could not have sent me a phone message the day before just to make sure that I receive the notification of the change.
