District 3 - The journey begins at the Thich Quang Duc Memorial Monument in District 3, a significant site where Thich Quang Duc self-immolated in 1963 to protest the South Vietnamese government’s persecution of Buddhism. After paying respects, the tour navigates through a bustling local wet market before arriving at the city’s largest flower market. This vibrant marketplace, a hub for both wholesalers and retailers, is primarily stocked with beautiful blooms sourced from Sa Dec City in Dong Thap Province. Next, the tour visits the house at 287/70 Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City. This place once hid more than 2 tons of weapons of the Saigon Rangers during the war against America, especially during the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of Mau Than (1968). Today, the young generation and foreign tourists love to visit this secret weapons bunker in District 3 to learn more about the heroic fighting period of Vietnam’s ancestors.
-
District 5 - The tour transitions from the bustling, humid local wet market to the city’s largest flower market, where vibrant blooms—primarily sourced from Sa Dec City in Dong Thap Province—fill the air with their sweet fragrance. A pause at a local coffee shop offers a refreshing cup of coffee, allowing guests to unwind while soaking in the lively street scenes and enjoying soothing music. The journey continues to Thien Hau Pagoda, also known as the Mother of the Sea, a revered temple built by Chinese immigrants in 1760 to preserve their spiritual traditions in Vietnam. Remarkably, the pagoda’s materials were imported by boat from China, and today, it remains a cherished landmark in Chinatown, District 5.
-
District 4 - The journey continues to District 4, where a vibrant floating market awaits. Here, guests will experience the unique lifestyle of those who live, work, and trade directly from their boats. On the way back to the hotel, the tour passes through a bustling culinary alley, famous for its wide array of Vietnamese street food. This area is a melting pot of flavors, with migrants from across the country bringing their regional specialties to life. As the adventure comes to a close, it’s time to say goodbye. The hope is that guests have enjoyed this experience and look forward to welcoming them on another occasion.
