Great 2 days tour with an amazing tour guide! - I was worried about this trip after reading reviews on Mekong delta tours. I’m happy we decided to take this tour. Our trip was awesome! Stark was the best tour guide! Very informative and very entertaining. The teenagers that normally have attitudes about everything absolutely loved him! Yes, it was very touristy, and yes everyone tried to sell us stuff, but it’s their livelihood and they were all lovely about it. I would absolutely recommend this tour! Ask for Stark!!

Greatest tour! Recommended it to all - A great private tour with our guide Stark! He toke good time on all activities so the kids (2, 5, and 8 years old) did not get stressed. We where just in the moment all the time. Stark has a great knowledge and like to share it. We got so much information on the Mekong Delta and the general of Vietnam and the Vietnamese culture. Stark was such a great guide, that we booked him for another trip in Ho Chi Minh City area. The trip had some fine activities along the river side, specially did the kids love the part with the coconut candy and local music. So nice to see the floating market and the locals trade with each other. The Homestay was a really nice homestay with the sweetest owner, we would have loved to stay at it more nights. The dinner at the Homestay was so good! Will recommend the trip to all that would go see the Mekong Delta.

Do the home stay!! - This was an awesome experience, i highly recommend going on all parts of this two day tour, the first part was a little more "touristy" where you get to see and learn about some of the food and candies as well as traditional song, dance and fruit ☺️ I personally adored the home stay, i was a little iffy to begin with because no one had mentioned it too greatly in thr reviews. It is a lot like "glamping" , but you are in someones home, it was amazing and i honestly wish id spent more nights like this rather than in a hotel room. You get treated like family and get taught how to cook traditional foods as well as being able to eat fresh garnish and herbs grown on tbe property which you are welcomed to explore if you wish ☺️ The floating markets are really cool to witness but are definitely less for tourists and more for the local people to buy and sell produce, having said this i ate the best pineapple ive ever eaten off a boat with thr local chilli salt which i recommend trying too!! Dana/Ying was an awesome tour guide, she was knowledgeable and lots of fun and helpful to get us more accustomed with the culture ☺️

Two-day Mekong Delta Tour - We just got back from our two day Mekong Delta tour. Although it was far too hot and humid, is was a quite adventurous tour and we had great fun. The tour started with a group of five – however, as the others had booked only a single-day tour, it was only our guide Big Handsome David and the two of us for day two. Some outstanding experiences were the Sampan ride through the quiet and shady canals, the bike tour through Cai Be neighborhood with tropical fruits growing virtually everywhere, and the floating market. Having some coffee and freshly-pressed orange juice with pineapples on a boat while observing the trading really made up for getting up early. A bit disappointing were the “cooking class” (scheduled for day one) and cooking demonstration (day two). For all three meals we had basically the same: springrolls (with the cooking class being how to roll and fry them from prepared ingredients) and Banh Xeo (with the cooking demonstration being how to pour prepared batter in a wok and adding prepared toppings) along with a variety of salad and tofu-based starters. Overall, the selection was fairly repetetive. Bonus points have to be given for considering our vegan diet. The Homestay for the night was very rustical, but the family was really nice. As for the other stops, they were fairly short and basically just leading is from one stop to the next. Lastly, our guide David was amazing and did a great job in leading us around and providing us with tons of information and insights.
