Additional Information
During the activities, you’ll try 6 different coffee drinks (from pure black coffee to the most iconic ones with ingredients) and the stories / origins behind them. There’re always reasons, background situations connected to each of the drink. You will understand more about Vietnam history through the coffee tasting, as well as the people characteristics from different parts of the country reflexes on the drinks. Coffee is not just a drink, but how it’s much more important to us.
Hands-on brewing the coffee yourself. You’ll get to know How to use “Phin” (traditional Vietnamese coffee dripper), together with the methods to make the iconic coffee drinks of Southern & Northern Vietnam (the “Ca phe sua” - condensed milk coffee & “Ca phe trung” - egg coffee). You’ll be ready to make them at home easily with my tasty recipes/tips, an experienced QC / barista coach.
All in all, a complete picture of everything you need to know about Vietnamese coffee.
- The lab is spacious enough and have seats for kids/children waiting for their parents to join the activity
- Caffeine-sensitive travelers should consider how much they can consume (tasting only instead of finishing all the provided drinks)

Wonderful learning experience - Quynh is very knowledgeable in the subject of coffee and the different cafes around Vietnam! The provided Banh Mi was SO GOOD! and really helped leverage the amount of coffee we drank. there were about 6 different coffees to tase test, all of them very different frm one another. I loved learning about the history of coffee and Vietnam's history with coffee as well. at the very end of the experience we also got a bunch of cafe recommendations which I very much appreciated. lovely experience!

Great experience - I had a fantastic experience in the Vietnamese coffee workshop. The demonstration was clear and passionate, giving us an authentic immersion in Vietnamese coffee culture. We learned from grain selection to the traditional filtering technique, and each step was accompanied by a detailed explanation and practical tips. The possibility to prepare and taste our own coffee was a special touch that made the experience even more memorable. I highly recommend this workshop to all coffee lovers and those who want to explore new ways to enjoy this drink. A real delight!

Go without hesitation - I learned soooo much about the importance of coffee for Vietnam. We tasted amazing coffees and also had the opportunity of making some which is so interesting! Thank you so much for this experience I recommend 100%

Amazing HCMC Experience - This was one of the best things I did in HCMC! I learned so much not just about coffee but Vietnam itself. Quynh did such a great job of weaving the country's history in with coffee, and you could tell he really cared & enjoyed teaching about it. It was thoughtfully organized, he was patient in answering my questions, and I felt so comfortable. You don't have to be a professional in the coffee world to enjoy this. Highly recommend adding this into your itinerary!

Coffee lovers dream - Quynh was an exceptional host, he has worked in hospitality and coffee for many years. For that reason he is the perfect host for this experience, explaining the history of coffee in Vietnam and providing many different styles of coffee from different regions in Vietnam, as well as sharing personal anecdotes throughout. I would 100% recommend this experience to all coffee lovers and I will do this again the next time I’m in Ho Chi Minh! Thanks again Quynh for sharing your knowledge with me 🙂

Amazing Experience - I had a one-on-one session with Quynh as the other guests did not turn up, and it was an amazing experience. Quynh was an expert in this field and brought me through the origins of coffee, as well as Vietnamese culture. Even without much knowledge of coffee at the start, I got to know a lot about coffee from thie experience.
Along the journey, you will not only get to taste many different types of coffee, you will get to make them too. Overall, an amazing experience for coffee lovers and those who want to know more about coffee!

Great knowledge - Quynh was exceptional. He has a lot of knowledge about coffee and the relation it has with Vietnam history. I would definitely recommend his experiences, it is personalize and he is willing always to help you with any question.
