I grew up in the Northern countryside where everything was self-sufficient. I learned a lot about how to grow food, prepare and cook from scratch with all natural ingredients from the farm and garden (My father was a chef). I’ve lived in the South for 26 years. So I specialize in authentic and healthy home-style dishes from North to South Vietnam.

All guests prepare, cook from scratch and eat together the same menu at my home-setting kitchen (no separate station for each guest). I will advise you on how best to prepare the food and guide you step by step through that cooking process to ensure you to get the best results.

My home is 1 km from the city centre. You should find the residential elevators of Block A on the left side of the building (the front entrance is the office area). Show the security man my apt no "Unit 24-A8, 24th Floor, Block A & he will open the elevators for you.

Great cooking class! - The cooking class was fantastic – a small, personal group where we learned a lot and had fun. The apartment is beautiful, cozy and conveys a family atmosphere. We didn't miss anything. We would definitely come back!

A very cozy learning environment and an unforgettable experience. - Lua’s class was delightful! Lua is kind, elegant and very knowledgeable. With high quality, fresh produce, she guided us through hours of Vietnamese dishes from scratch. All throughout, our class of 6 were activity chopping, frying, rolling and marinating etc. Lua elaborated on each ingredient and unique technique in detail. As the class size was kept small, we were each given plenty of 1 on 1 time. It was as though Lua had invited us into her home to cook and share a beautiful Vietnamese meal with us. ❤️

One of my favorites in my trip! - Amazing host and teacher, was very insightful on brining me around the local area when shopping for ingredients. Recipes are easy to follow food was very homely. Highly recommend.

Lia’s Kitchen - Had a great time with Lua learning to cook authentic dishes in her home. She was so welcoming and the food we cooked was absolutely delicious. Her cooking class was a highlight of my trip to Vietnam and I would recommend it for anyone wanting a unique experience

Cooking class with a personal touch - Extremely fun and informative. We made 3 delicious dishes of shrimp papaya salad, braised fish, and chicken pho. The ingredients are fresh and ready to prepare. Everyone in the class helped. Lua gave us cooking tips and tricks and explained some of the local customs for meals. Her apartment is on the top floor with a city skyline view so of course we took pictures with the view after eating all the yummy dishes. This cooking class has a very personal touch.

Top cooking class for families!! - We had a great time with Lua. She had a clever way to divide the tasks between us (with 4 teenage kids) so that everyone was busy helping. The food was topnotch, I will be introducing some of these healthy vietnamese meals into our weekly menus with Lua's inspiration, I got some clever ideas on how to use some specific kitchen tools to make life easier.
She also didn't mind that we brought our suitcases with, as we were on our way to the airport, even offered that we could have a shower in her shower before we left which was sweet.
The apartment where the class was held overlooks the river, has a lovely feel to it!
Would highly recommend!

It was great experience. - We cooked in her new kitchen with a nice night view. She told us a lot about Vietnamese food and her food was amazing. It was one of the most exciting experiences of my trip. I highly recommend taking Lua's cooking class.
