Just after sunset, the Little Penguins emerge from the ocean and waddle to their burrows. A must-see spectacle! Departing from Melbourne at a leisurely 2pm, head towards Phillip Island via San Remo and make a stop at the Phillip Island Nature Parks Koala Conservation Reserve. Stroll along the tree-top boardwalks to observe koalas in their natural environment. Enjoy a walk through the woodlands, where you can admire the rich birdlife, wallabies, and echidnas….
Departing from Melbourne at a leisurely 2pm, head towards Phillip Island via San Remo and make a stop at the Phillip Island Nature Parks Koala Conservation Reserve. Stroll along the tree-top boardwalks to observe koalas in their natural environment. Enjoy a walk through the woodlands, where you can admire the rich birdlife, wallabies, and echidnas.
Proceed to Seal Rocks and the Nobbies Centre, where you can walk along the boardwalk and enjoy breathtaking views back towards the Mornington Peninsula from the westernmost point of Phillip Island. Take the scenic cliff drive along the dirt road for a chance to spot wallabies and other wildlife in their natural habitat, and seize the opportunity for cliff-top photography.
Finally, head to the highlight of the trip, the Phillip Island penguin tour. Each night, just after dark, witness the world’s smallest penguins as they waddle ashore after a day of fishing at sea. Be enchanted as these charming creatures emerge from the surf and make their way to their burrows right before your eyes.
