Excellent tour - What a great tour! We started at 5 PM which was a good time. Sam picked us up from our hotel and drove us around to some sites while it was still light. We did the dhow boat and Souq Waqif after sunset. Sam took some great pictures of us from the dhow boat. It is a great tour to see Doha if you have about 4 to 5 hours. Sam was very knowledgeable and super nice. Everything mentioned in the itinerary was covered and we highly recommend this tour. We even played a game of dama in the Souq Waqif.

Doha day tip - Had a long layover in Doha so decided to go see the city. Sam is a great host and guide Very knowledgeable would highly recommend.

Awesome city tour with Ali - Ali was a wonderful guide for our half day city tour in Doha. His communication was great and he contacted me the day before to confirm our pickup location at the Doha airport. He was very kind, accommodating, and passionate about sharing his knowledge about the city. The tour had a great itinerary with a quick pace which was nice to get to see a lot in our limited time, but it could also be altered if you have specific interests or prefer to go at a slower pace. The Dhow cruise was one of our favorite activities and the timing of it being close to sunset was perfect. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see a lot in a limited amount of time in Doha with an excellent guide.

Doha City Tour and Cruise - The day before the tour, Ali who was our tour guide, sent a message to confirm pick up time and location and to introduce himself. Right on time we were off! Ali was an excellent guide. What he doesn't know about Doha and it's history is not worth knowing. He accompanied us on the Dhow cruise, highlighting numerous features of the City. He then took us to the Souq Waqif but on the way to our surprise, he took us to see the Emir's private guards doing their formation on camels. Spectacular. Then we toured the Souq, with Ali taking us through many of the little laneways full of interesting stalls and unique restaurants. Then proceeded to the Katara Cultural Village where Ali took us through noting many of the special places of interest. Finally we completed the tour with a visit to Pearl Island and Little Venice. These were particularly beautiful as it was now after dark and the incredible lights made all the areas stand out. We were so pleased we chose this tour, particularly on our first day in Doha as it gave us a comprehensive overview over view of the City and its history. Ali was a faultless host. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

Doha with Moby!!! - Our tour guide, Moby, was the BEST! He picked my son & myself up on time & for the next few hours we learnt so much about Doha. Moby was so very friendly & knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make the experience of this trip so interesting & informative. He even gave us much more of the scheduled time & offered so many times to take photos of us & create great memories . Thank you Moby.

Recommended for solo travelers on a long layover - I had an 11-hour layover in Doha, Qatar so I figured I would take advantage of the time there and check out the city. My flight landed at 2:30pm and boarding for my connecting flight was at 12am. I arranged to be picked up at the airport for 4:30pm to ensure that I had time to get off the plane, freshen up, change clothes (which I had in my carry-on), get through customs, receive my VOA (visa on arrival), purchase a SIM card (45 Qatari rials) for my phone so that I could receive texts and communication with Viator/driver/family, and exchange spending money ($100 USD) with time to spare. It worked out perfectly. My driver/host for the afternoon was Ali. He texted me via WhatsApp hours ahead of time to give me his contact info and assure me that he'd be there to pick me up at 4:30pm. I was a little hesitant--being a woman traveling alone--about his random text so I went through the Viator app to confirm the driver's name and license plate. Green light! Ali was fantastic! I couldn't have asked for a gentler, more courteous host. He formally introduced himself and asked me if I'd rather sit in the backseat or front seat. I opted for the backseat initially but then hopped up to the front for better pictures. He opened the doors for me and patiently waited as I snapped photos and selfies and carefully observed all that my eyes could see. He even volunteered to snap a few pictures of me at our various stops. Ali briefly reminded me of the itinerary and we were off to see the city. It did not disappoint! He made me feel like I was being shown around by a big brother. His English was great. His conversation was friendly, funny and genuine. We talked about our cultures and candidly asked questions about the differences. It was eye opening for us both. Ali took me to the different attractions and explained the history and significance of each trail and stop along the way. I felt like I was getting an insider, firsthand experience. When I told him I was hungry, he asked if I wanted seafood or traditional food and if I wanted good food or good ambiance. I opted for the seafood at a good food place, and he took me to a cozy restaurant--Danat al Dahar BBQ Fish--where I ordered fresh grilled red snapper (delicious). When I told him I wanted to purchase some scarves. We stopped and shopped for scarves. When I told him I wanted ice cream, we went to the ice stand. When I told him I needed the washroom, we found one. And when he saw that I was falling asleep on the boat ride (because I'd been up since 3am), he suggested I take a quick 15-minute nap in his car to refresh while he stood outside on the pier. Soooooo thoughtful! I'm sure that there were a few more things to see on the itinerary but I ended our tour early because honestly, I had seen enough (more than enough). The experience was perfect! Ali made me feel very secure and taken care of the whole time, like I was visiting a new city with an old friend. It was worth every penny. Ali dropped me off at the airport around 9pm which was plenty of time to finish my grilled red snapper, get back through security and to my gate with ease. Any concerns I had about traveling alone were inconsequential. (I did wear a conservative long-sleeved maxi dress to blend in and felt completely accepted and comfortable). I strongly recommend this tour!

Highly recommend - Sam was our guide and he was fantastic. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The vehicle was very comfortable and we had a very lovely evening whilst learning about the city. Thank you Sam for your hospitality.
