Memorable day trip - The trip to the fort and the rock formations were really interesting. It was informative to hear about how Qatar developed and was transformed with the oil discovery. The physical environment was very impressive and the rock formations were other-worldly. Our tour guide, Osman was very punctual, witty and informative-overall a great tour.

Perfect day trip! - We had a fabulous day with Usman!! Highly recommend this tour - it’s a great way to explore more of Qatar. He was the perfect guide, sharing helpful info about Qatar throughout, taking photos, and even customizing the tour for us when we had more time. This tour was a photographer’s dream and we loved getting to see the camels training at the track and the Zekreet rocks while the sun was still rising. The light was magical and well worth the 4 am wake up call. Thank you Usman for everything!!

A full day around Qatar - We booked through Get Your Guide. A fantastic day with desert landscapes, rock formations, Persian Gulf, and fish market. Our Guide Zia told us about both history and the present. We recommend both him and the tour!

Amazing Day! - We had a wonderful time on this tour with our driver and guide, Adil. We only had one day in Qatar and decided to spend it doing something off the beaten path, and were glad we did! Adil was a wonderful guide and shared the history and insights about Qatar while thoroughly entertaining us as we drove from sight to sight. It was a long, hot day but he kept us supplied with cold water, treats, and great air-conditioning. We saw so many interesting sights but the highlight was the stop at the camel racing facility. We arrived just in time to see hundreds of camels being exercised and were able to drive along the track and follow them. It was a truly wonderful experience. Thank you Adil!!

Beautiful day tour away from Doha - We booked this tour to learn more about the country and its culture. It was a great day with many beautiful impressions. Our driver, Usman, was a very friendly and pleasant companion who took a lot of time for us and our questions and whom we are happy to recommend.

A long uninspiring day. - We felt the structure of the tour was poor. A lot of driving to reach Al Zubara, which was promoted as an archaeological site, but was really just an information centre in an early 20th century restored fort. Apart from seeing more flat white land than I've ever seen, the day didn't provide any really riveting points of interest. That together with the fact that our driver's personal car was having mechanical problems, and caused us a lot of stress as we drove long distances in the desert, made the trip uninspiring.

COLOSSAL WASTE OF TIME - An absolute COLOSSAL WASTE OF TIME. I will review only the first 3 1/2 hours because we insisted on returning to our hotel. Pick up was prompt and on time. As soon as we entered the vehicle we were informed that the trip would be approximately 480km. 1st stop local fish market-not joking, 2nd stop gas station for fuel, bread & snacks. We felt that definitely should have been done before picking us up. Nothing like the smell of gasoline on a 102 degree day. 3rd stop the mangroves and this is where the bread comes into play. The tour guide bought two loafs of bread and suggested that we feed baby fish as if we were five year olds. 4th stop the Fort which was approximately an hour to get to and we drove right by another 20 minutes to the coast line to see literally piles of rocks and was told on a clear day we could see Bahrain. Headed back to the Fort. 5th stop we were told was 90km away and that is when we made the decision to return to the hotel. The villages are abandoned and there are no locals to interact with. 3 1/2 hours in, 3 hours were traveling on a desert highway. If you love desert highways this is the tour for you! What a disappointment and similar to most of you who rely on trip advisor reviews, how could we possibly go wrong with 72 five star reviews? Well, possibly because he would not stop pleading with us to give him 5 stars or his boss would fire him. The above review is our experience. Again if you love desert highway driving this is the tour for you!
