- Jinshanling Great Wall - From your hotel in downtown Beijing at approximately 6:30 am, enjoy a simple breakfast before starting the trip to the Jinshanling Great Wall. Group size is around 35 people. By 10:00 am, start your 3-hour hike on the eastern section of the wall with plenty of photo opportunities of the surrounding foliage, architecture, and towers along the way. Be surrounded by ancient architecture to marvel at the along this 6km hike. Take time to enjoy the breathtaking sights along the parapets on this relatively less crowded section of the wall with room to stop and admire the views. This section of the Great Wall offers a look at each unique tower along the way, ensuring there is always something new to discover. After the included lunch, your adventure will conclude and you will be transferred back to Beijing downtown area then you will take the subway and go back hotel by taking the subway by yourself.
Hotel pickup is only available from select hotels located within the second ring road in central Beijing.

Begin your journey from exit A of Chaoyangmen subway station at 7:00 AM, then set out for an entire day of discovery on the Jinshanling segment of the Great Wall with this organized bus excursion. Witness one of the most intact portions of the wall that dates back to the Ming Dynasty, featuring original elements and myriad bricks marked by their creators. Take in extraordinary panoramic vistas of the landscape while traversing a less commonly visited stretch of the Great Wall. Included in your package are lunch and the entrance pass. Conclude your adventure with a drop-off at ‘Dongzhimen’ subway station following the tour. Please note, this Jinshanling Great Wall group journey does not encompass hotel pick-up and drop-off facilities.

It was my second time to use Viator... - <p>It was my second time to use Viator service, and everything was so great! My Mom, myself and her friends wanted to visit remote and quiet part of the wall this time, so that I chose Jinshanling Great wall tour, and tour operator told us that the Jinshanling Great wall was closed temporarily and it was switched to Simatai section of Great Wall now. I could say that The view was amazing and impressive. This section of Simatai Great Wall got lots of original stones, well the hiking was a little bit hard and challenging, but it was less crowded and we saw only around 60 people at the Great wall during the tour. Our guide, Paul, was great, informative and friendly.Highly recommended!</p>

Great communication in lead up as... - <p>Great communication in lead up as Jinshanling section of the wall was closed and we changed to Simatai section. Pick up was on time but minibus was extremely small and cramped for the number of people on tour. For what is a lengthy journey 2 hours each way the size of vehicle used and the space between each row of seats was ridiculous. I could not sit normally and had to sit knees up in order to fit in the space available and I am 5ft9. Everyone on the tour was in a similar predicament. <br/>
Aside from this the tour itself was fine, great food for lunch and the Great Wall was amazing. Only feedback for this section of the Wall was that there is a chairlift and our guide gave us the option to walk up and chairlift down or vice versa but the chairlift cost is not included. This was at minimal cost so just add it on to the tour cost rather than asking people to pay extra on the day</p>
