Highly recommended experience! - Very good experience with Richard - timely communications, met us outside the venue to make sure we didn’t get lost, super friendly and helpful, a fantastic introduction to the art of calligraphy for the whole family and good value for money. Highly recommend!

Amazing Cultural Experience - Richard was an incredible man to meet on our travels. He was so knowledgeable about the history of China and Calligraphy. We learnt so much from him.
He made an extra effort to come and meet us at the subway and offered us some delicious tea and chat upon arrival.
My husband and I left with two beautiful pieces of calligraphy “happiness” to hang in our home.
Thank you for your positive, friendly and vibrant personality Richard. We had a fantastic time and would recommend this to everyone!

Do this class! It's great - Richard was a kind, funny, and genuine man. We are so happy we spent our time with him to learn calligraphy. We started with the 30 min session, but extended to the 1.5 hr because we were having such am enriching experience. He served hot tea, had plenty of practice materials, and organized practice "challenges". Then, he had large red hanging ornaments for us to paint our final product on, which we got to take home as a souvenir! I highly recommend this experience for people who want a relaxing cultural experience right next to Wangfujing, in a hutong!

Interesting culture experience - Richard is very friendly and making the class very enjoyable. Time flies when practicing writing. We will be able to write a word and bring it back home after practice. So don’t worry.

Very nice introduction to calligraphy - In one hour class you get a very nice introduction to calligraphy. You are introduced to the way to hold the brush and to some practice exercises. Eventually you learn to write the word "Blessing" and you can take home your work. It was a very good experience!

Worthwhile event - We had a very nice morning, we were introduced to the first basic steps of calligraphy in a very warm and personal way, treated to tea and accompanied by philosophical thoughts.
